To recieve a mark is to recieve a blemish

Lets look deep into what the mark in Revelation 13 is:

3.mar: to spoil the appearance or reputation of something

Synonyms: mark, stain, imperfection, flaw, fault, spot, blotch, discoloration, fleck, disfigurement, wart


Lo, the definition has mark in it. It is enough to tell me the mark is a blemish.

Anyone think the mark is not a blemish?

The mark is not the number of the beast. So don't get it mixed up like most.

In their right hand might mean in their prescription. In their foreheads might mean in their medications.

In current events in the world right now there is talk about mental illnesses due to the mass killings going on. A diagnoses by a physician can spoil a reputation. It can make it so you can't buy a firearm, too.

Discuss.

A diagnoses by a physician can also help the person have a better life and or make sure the mentally unfit do not get their hands on a weapon of destruction.
Lets just hope the physician is a well trained one.
The stigma of mental illness can be horrid but with education we can defeat that.

The naming of 'things' is the mark of the beast, it is the separation out of the whole.
This is whole and it cannot be named, it defies definition because to define is to cut up and divide and draw lines around. What this is is complete but words and labels appear to separate it into many.
Without the mark of the beast nothing would be conceived as good or bad, it would be just.

Words and labels change the way the appearance is seen. The words used (if believed without question) shape the world we inhabit.

Prior to conception (wording) there is pure perception (seeing).

It's something physical. Without it you cannot buy and sell. If money has gone all digital by then the only way to access you funds is by some electronic device that proves that you are you. A Verichip or a barcode most likely if it happens in the next 20 to 50 years. Also taking the mark you are pledging allegiance to the beast in some way too.

You're choosing a side in the war of the end times. The war between God and the Devil. And the Beast (Antichrist) and the false Lamb (False Prophet).

Also there are Daniel 7 and 8 references in Revelation 13 as well that should be looked at too.

Daniel 7

7 After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it; and it had ten horns.
8 I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things.

Looks like a different view of the same beast.

Daniel 8

8 Therefore the he goat waxed very great: and when he was strong, the great horn was broken; and for it came up four notable ones toward the four winds of heaven.
9 And out of one of them came forth a little horn, which waxed exceeding great, toward the south, and toward the east, and toward the pleasant land.

Simply put Revelation is cleverly cross-referencing Old Testament prophesies and adding extra information to them.
