Although, if you ask enough people you are sure to get some wild opinions. I personally know folks who would be overjoyed to see GB2's mug up there. I bet some people would even like to see Jimmy Carter or Gerald Ford! HaHa

My personal belief regarding Mt. Rushmore is that a certain amount of time needs to have passed before a decision is made to add someone's ugly mug to that mountain. How does history view the individual? Sometimes you just can't rush things.

Not to pride my own profile image, but Teddy Roosevelt did a crap tone more than Obama has.

Obama never crippled corporate monopolies, nor made the country the best on the planet. He's done quite the opposite of those things.

He's done things. But not a great deal. And he hasn't done nearly enough to merit Rushmore.

He's more comparable to President Taft or Hoover. Intellectuals who failed to understand the human element to things.

Native Americans had civilization. They had glory and power. What we found were the ruins of that. We find this former glory in the ruins of the pyramids of the Mississippi Valley and the art in the mounds.

I would hardly call what the colonists did as right. But I would hardly call what the natives did as right as well.

There were two sides. Very racists. Very hateful. One side lost. I wouldn't shed a tear for them. Nor would I shed a tear for the colonists if they died. Two groups hated each other and one won and built sky scrappers.

That would be cool and yet you never hear about people wishing for a Native American president. I once asked Leaford Bearskin, Retired Air Force B24 pilot and chief of the Wyandotte Nation (and a great personal friend who died recently) "Why haven't you ever tried for political office other than chief? You'd make a great President." to which he replied to me "Son, I'm not that damned stupid. I can better serve my people and my community here. Besides, though I have done much good for my people and community, I did that because I know every one of them, and can serve them from my heart, there's no way I would even pretend to know the first thing about serving as leader of all the peoples of the United States."

What I hear is Obama is very scared that he will be found out. He doesn't really understand what is going on and feels he will be found a fraud at any time. You know kind of like George Bush, or Bill Clintong.
