I'm sorry but the following quotes made me laugh...

Paul Shawcross, an administration adviser on science and space, says a Death Star would cost too much to build - an estimated $850 quadrillion - at a time the White House is working to reduce the federal budget.

Besides, Shawcross says, the Obama administration "does not support blowing up planets."

I propose we build a "Terrestrial Scale Debris Particulator" to make the universe safer for our spacecraft.

Obama is no friend of the space program. As he was quick to sell our remaining shuttles.
He wanted to employ his Russian friends with billions of dollars to bring our people up with there faulty equipment.

Money would be better spent building another world trade centre and flying a plane into it(no offence) but it would lay it to rest for all the non believers, I'm surprised an oil rich country such as Qatar haven't followed through with it...
