They're not in the same place all year. They're so far away that they don't appear to move much, it's like driving along a highway and seeing that the sun doesn't move. It's that principle on a much larger scale along with Earth's rotation.

For every circle around the sun, the earth does 365.25 circles around it's own center (night/day cycle), allowing a full view of the stars.

Ok, a little reminder might be in order.

Let's remember that Courtesy Is Mandatory and that here we go after the ball, not the player.

Please focus on the topic and contribute in a positive way.

Okay...using logic...and the basic fundementals of science (just the basics)...trying not to use anything from college...ummm...still pretty easy concept!

So...that being said...maybe you should think about it a bit more!

The fact that Earth orbits the sun along with other planets is very observable.

That could very well be the stupidest thing anyone has ever said. What you have said in this thread alone proves how useful school is.

If you had stopped to think how far away the stars actually are (the closest one being about 39,900,000 million km), and the earth moving only being about 300 million km, you will inderstand.

Every 72 years, apparently the sky moves one degree on the Horizon of the Sun. So going by that, yes the stars do move or our Sun does and the stars are always stationary in their positions.. Don't take my word for it though, I'm not an astronomer. Its a slow process and your not meant to see it from day to day if I'm right.

But what are you trying to say? That the Earth is spinning and stationary or something?

Anyone can observe it, using the stars.
