How come the default settings when no signature has been provided, still shows "signature:" followed by a blank area in posts?

Is ATS suggesting all members sign their posts?

(nothinbigmajig; just wonder for the longest while..)

Tanks!

Most members use that space to post their favorite quotes, lines from an awesome movie or some type of cool (but tiny) artwork.

I don't think anyone has their actual signature posted down there, that would be really weird.

Oh!

So how come if one dont have a sig content, it shows that one don't?

Kinda like if someone doesnt have an avatar but it reads "avatar" wouldnt that be weird...too?

I wish people would put the -Namaste or -Domo in the signature area instead of cluttering up their post. It's irritating, especially when you read it every post.

... as evidenced by your .sig, FA

Surprised that more ATS members don't promote that film -- it pretty much sums up what about 2/3 of the people here seem to believe, in one form or another.

The same reason "Location:" and "Mood:" are always there.

The "Signature" wording is there to let you know you can have a sigi.

If it's desirable to have signatures identified by the word "signature", pehaps it's just easier to have the word there by default than it is to code a way to attach it only when somebody fills in the "signature" field.

What's a signature? Ya mean that drivel below my posts?

So how come if one dont have a sig content, it shows that one don't?
