It's one thing to don riot gear and line up next to each other and push against an unarmed, unbathed crowd of hippie wannabes when there is no war, it is quite another to wage guerrilla warfare in the streets and alleys with citizens when you don't know which ones are armed and which ones aren't. Look at Iraq.

As for being better armed, both the police and military are FAR outnumbered. COMBINED.

They may have better guns, but we have more of them. Lots more.

If the Militia in the USA (everyone with a rifle that is able to shoot it) allow ourselves to be disarmed at this time in history it is my opinion that we will see ourselves in concentration / FEMA camps. FEMA is full of those continuity of government types it is very spook filled. They were also involved in training for this type of situation on the same day in the same area, The local ERT was training near by with FEMA from 9am-4pm that same day. The scenario was taking care of children in a crisis situation. This smells to high heaven.

The 2nd was codified to protect the Militia (everyone) from being disarmed by the central government. (.)
