Ivan, if we take your argument I think we could prove that guns in the hands of an armed poulace prevent gulags, which provides an unmeasured benefit to the more than 300 million Americans, and all the illegals living here too.

Perhaps where you are from, only the Mafia is alowed guns.

Here's a few more to add to your list.

1911 - Turkey bans civilian ownership of firearms. From 1911 to 1917, 1.5 million Armenians, unable to defend themselves, were murdered.

1928 - Germany bans firearms. From 1939 to 1945, 13 million Jews, gypsies, homosexuals, the mentally ill & others, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

1929 - The Soviet Union bans firearms. From 1929 to 1953, approximately 20 million dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were systematically eliminated.

1935 - China bans firearms. From 1948 to 1952, 20 million political dissidents were unable to defend themselves and were killed.

1956 - Cambodia bans firearms. From 1975 to 1977, one million "educated" people unable to defend themselves, were murdered.

1964 - Guatemala bans firearms. From 1964 to 1981, 100,000 Mayan Indians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and killed.

1970 - Uganda bans firearms. From 1971 to 1979, 300,000 Christians, unable to defend themselves, were exterminated. In one infamous incident, the habitants of a small village took refuge in a church, where every man, woman and child was massacred with guns and machetes as they were unable to physically defend themselves.

1995 - 6,000 Bosnian Muslims were massacred at Srebrenica in the ironically named "UN safe area" after having been disarmed first (a process aided by the UN).

Notice the things they have in common, besides the associated firearms bans? That's right, none of them had instant contact with the outside world via the internet, and none of them were given outside assistance from the outset of the atrocities.

Nope, just some law enforcement and a million or so registered firearm owners.

I am a brit (sorry)

Please dont think that jumped up snot nosed ass Morgan is remotely like the majority of us
yes we can be arrogant and seem aloof but its our cultural nature its a hang on from the
hideous class system you folk in the states escaped from much to your credit.

morgan represents the very worse of our press types and is a hateful little troll
but it is obvious he is being used against you by those who control the media
i would get a second opinion if he said the sky was blue!

I don't think AJ is quite as mad as you guys think yes he is loud and passionate
in his beliefs and he did not give as good a show as he could on that show
however he did achieve a few points.

he showed in stark detail how pissed off folk are about the erosion of your rights
(rights which we here sadly don't share)
he refused to be lead by PM's questioning.
and best of all he got massive attention focused on the subject allowing more err
level heads to discuss it and hopefully for you all get further restrictions against you
if not reversed then as least slowed and debated fully.

The US people are (or were) the most free regular people in the world and a beacon
to the rest of us you CANNOT allow that to end.
The US gov is becoming dangerously corrupt and a tool/enforcement arm for its corporate and banking
sponsors this must be stopped or the whole planet will end up strip-mined for the elites profit
and ALL of us will lose.

Reading the Wikipedia page on Morgan, I've discovered that he's hated by Ian Hislop, Jeremy Clarkson and Alan Sugar. If those guys hate him, he can't be all bad.

No. Do you think it had any effect on Egypt being able to overthrow their hated dictator? Anyway, why did you ignore my other qualifier, "outside assistance"? It's the 2 together that is a formidable force for good.

Did it stop the Iranian govt from brutally murdering that girl? NO it did not, did Barack OBama mr Human Rights PRogressive step in and help? No he did not.

Did the Internet help overthrow a Pro Western leader? Yes it did, but did it stop thugs from riding camels over people in the streets? No it did not.

Will the Internet stop our military from relocating people to FEMA camps? Your guess is as good as mine

Perhaps you are recommending Americans use rocks against the US military?.and the Internet? Who will come to our aid from the Intl community seeing as everyone hates us so much?

Also do you really believe that we could take on Barack Obama with Internet blogging alone? That is so naive as to make me almost rofl. Sorry, I believe in the Internet as a communication tool, but Barack Obama's friends in the Unions and his leftist buddies Code Pink and Bill Ayers stirred up that hornet's nest in Egypt and he's already declared American Patriots to be his number 1 enemy.
Is France going to free us with their Internet blogs? Oh wait they are socialist buddies of Barack. How about Venezuela, oh wait Hugo is Barack's friend. How about Bolivia? Oh wait their Prez is friend of Hugo.

What outside assistance? You mean that Socialist Union guy Richard Trumka and his leftist friends? Yah they overthrew a pro Western leader alright and facilitated the Muslim Brotherhood takeover of that country.
Tunisia is still in major uproar and have Communist Party people vying for power with other factions. All of this was manufactured but they tried to make it look like it was spontaneous. Same with the protest in Spain. Even the Occupy movement was spurred by anti Capitalists and that group ad busters in Canada. Did they overthrow Barack Obama or even Wall Street? Nope.

Apparently you are using the Egypt uprising as a barometer for how the US could get outside assistance from the rest of the world. And you suppose Americans want to depend on France, Venezuela, Bolivia, or China for assistance? Maybe Australia or Britain but I wouldn't want to have to depend on the world. And we should go through all of that because you think Americans should be disarmed.
The naivete about what is really going on in the world is just astounding.

Im from UK and my thoughts on this is yeah most people from uk will say get rid of your guns. however that is just how we are used to things I dont personally think guns are a good thing but that's how I been brought up.

But you Americans have had guns in your culture for a long time and that shouldn't change especially seeing as it is a right of an American. I bet there is no statistics saying how many crimes etc have been stopped due to the public having guns in there possession.

We brits should not try and say it's wrong because when it comes to it we know nothing about it yeah few bad people got guns and committed horrendous crimes. but one of my friends who was in army on leave got killed by a bunch of drunks with a baseball bat and a socket wrench so it doesn't matter the weapon this will still happen its sad but true.

But on the original post if you guys deport him please dont send him back here he is just an arrogant
............(I will not use the language I want to but you get the idea)

This is one of my first posts too sorry for any spelling grammer ect im on phone and it's very slow on site

your post seems perfectly fine to me, and there you have it people, crimes will be commited, no matter where you are or what you have to commit them with. Banning guns in the good ol' US of A is just another way the government can further control the population. Without guns, we are completely powerless, with them, at least the common man stands somewhat of a chance against the powers that be..

Can you just make a concise point and stick to it, tather than go off on a ramble about all the things you obviously think I know nothing about. My point was, the internet, outside support and mass action used in a coordinated manner are a very important tool for freedom, and far more important to where this world is going than any individual with a gun, unless you are talking about assassinating all your opponents.

What I find sad, is every time someone asked for him to be deported back. Someone from the other side of the pond says they don't want him back. How bad does one person have to be that your home country does not want you back in it.

To be fair, if we actually properly looked into it, i am pretty sure every country would have planes full of people that fall into this category.

Perhaps we should have a global club together and send them all on holiday? I suggest camping in Chernobyl. Or Fukushima (i am not prejudiced!).

He got 70,000+ hillbillies stomping round their living-rooms in their underpants while waving a rifle and shouting "FROM MY COLD, DEAD HANDS!" over and over - you've got to give him some credit for that alone.

I'm more of a Paul Merton man myself and found Hislop very hit and miss. That, and he stinks of being controlled opposition or a useful idiot.
