Ivan, if we take your argument I think we could prove that guns in the hands of an armed poulace prevent gulags, which provides an unmeasured benefit to the more than 300 million Americans, and all the illegals living here too.
1911 - Turkey bans civilian ownership of firearms. From 1911 to 1917, 1.5 million Armenians, unable to defend themselves, were murdered.
1928 - Germany bans firearms. From 1939 to 1945, 13 million Jews, gypsies, homosexuals, the mentally ill & others, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
1929 - The Soviet Union bans firearms. From 1929 to 1953, approximately 20 million dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were systematically eliminated.
1935 - China bans firearms. From 1948 to 1952, 20 million political dissidents were unable to defend themselves and were killed.
1956 - Cambodia bans firearms. From 1975 to 1977, one million "educated" people unable to defend themselves, were murdered.
1964 - Guatemala bans firearms. From 1964 to 1981, 100,000 Mayan Indians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and killed.
1970 - Uganda bans firearms. From 1971 to 1979, 300,000 Christians, unable to defend themselves, were exterminated. In one infamous incident, the habitants of a small village took refuge in a church, where every man, woman and child was massacred with guns and machetes as they were unable to physically defend themselves.
1995 - 6,000 Bosnian Muslims were massacred at Srebrenica in the ironically named "UN safe area" after having been disarmed first (a process aided by the UN).

No. Do you think it had any effect on Egypt being able to overthrow their hated dictator? Anyway, why did you ignore my other qualifier, "outside assistance"? It's the 2 together that is a formidable force for good.edit on 13-1-2013 by IvanAstikov because: for emphasis.

Im from UK and my thoughts on this is yeah most people from uk will say get rid of your guns. however that is just how we are used to things I dont personally think guns are a good thing but that's how I been brought up.
But you Americans have had guns in your culture for a long time and that shouldn't change especially seeing as it is a right of an American. I bet there is no statistics saying how many crimes etc have been stopped due to the public having guns in there possession.
We brits should not try and say it's wrong because when it comes to it we know nothing about it yeah few bad people got guns and committed horrendous crimes. but one of my friends who was in army on leave got killed by a bunch of drunks with a baseball bat and a socket wrench so it doesn't matter the weapon this will still happen its sad but true.
But on the original post if you guys deport him please dont send him back here he is just an arrogant
............(I will not use the language I want to but you get the idea)
This is one of my first posts too sorry for any spelling grammer ect im on phone and it's very slow on site

What I find sad, is every time someone asked for him to be deported back. Someone from the other side of the pond says they don't want him back. How bad does one person have to be that your home country does not want you back in it.

Dear god... a 24 page thread about Piers Morgan. His rating in the US must be massive.
Do what we did in the UK and ignore him, he went away.
The guy is trash.
