Thursday marked a bloody day for Pakistan as four blasts rocked the country, leaving at least 116 people killed and 235 others injured.

The bomb was fixed under a chassis of a vehicle parked nearby the checkpost and an estimated 25 kg of explosives were used in the bomb, said bomb disposal squad officers.

The blast was so huge that it left a two-feet-deep and eight- feet-wide crater on the ground, said eyewitnesses.

Man, the crazy meter has reached new highs in this current world.

What drives people to commit acts like this? To blow yourself up as a way to kill over 100 men, women, and children. And I'm sure the number of wounded-to-dead ratio will grow larger with time.

At least the crazy people in America tend to use guns with limited ammunition... in retrospect, school shootings could have been 10 times worse...

Mulsims, christians, and jews are all the same.

Its just that the more money and food you have the less people you try to kill. If there comes a day in america where christians are poor and starving.. they will surely blow themselves up and murder children.

Because all you have to do is go back a few chapters and see god telling you to murder males.. and take the virgins to rape at home. God condones these acts of terrorism, you just need to read the bible as its written.

Yeah, I only brought up a domestic event, the US/UN/NATO actions have blown to smithereens thousands of children, all of which were robbed of the opportunity to become adults. If there were any kind of comforting thought it's that they cannot be further victimized.

Problem with these incidents is no one really knows whats going on.

Could it be internal fighting, sure.

Could it be foreign subversion, sure.

I look forward to a day when nations stay within their own borders (the US predominantly) and the only "intervention" will be in the form of dialogue, trade and leading by example.

This one was initiated by sunni extremists against shia muslims. The bomb attack occurred in Quetta which is the capital of Ballocistan (SW Pakistan) Quite a lot of the Ballocis want independence from Pakistan (suprise suprise) and there is an on going rebellion against Islamabad.

You dont know.

This is the proposed route of the Trans Afghan pipeline.

Of-course theyre going to destabilize the region so they can "justify" invasion and occupation.

Thats SOP (Standard Operating Procedure).

Which is why the US needs to kill the inhabitants as they push through.

Balochistan's barren sands glisten with hidden value. Mining companies eye its natural riches: vast and largely untapped reserves of copper, natural gas and possibly oil.

`US wants to expand drone attacks into Quetta`.

The only thing is, one group out of these three seem to go out of their way to make a point using bombs and bullets.

Much condolences to the injured and to the murdered victim's families.

Another senseless tragedy. When will we stop blaming others, on mythical agencies, nations, situations, etc, and start on FOCUSSING upon the real issues so that we mankind can stop such tragedies from happening again?

The massacre was nothing more than the continuation of an ancient feud of 1,300 years old within the muslim community, between the Shias and Sunnis.

After the fall of the brutal Ottoman Empire, that feud had been left on the shelf, reason being to focus on slaughtering of the jews rather than each other. The innocent palestinian people had been used to the hilt for further this agenda. But a new generation of palestinians were born, and finally knew the reality and truth of them being used and abused by their own fellow muslims.

More so by the insane Khomeni when he returned to tyrannise Iran. He knew he can only stay in power as long as the sunnis are distracted by another external threat, even if mythically created by him.

He used the Iranian oil wealth to fund and support the terrorist group then Sunni Muslim Brotherhood, to kill brother sunnis, espacially against Saudi Arabia. As long as sunnis were killing themselves, they would leave him alone, while he builds up his power and might.

He, being a Twelver Shia, banked on the Mahdi cult to wreck havoc on the strongest muslim state then - Saudi Arabia, through an insane muslim sunni idiot who declared himself as the Mahdi, and laid violent armed seige on the holy city of Mecca during the pilgrimmage month, and led to terrible tragedy if not absolute blasphemy when the coup failed.

In order to survive, he successfully deflected blame upon USA as being the ones who conducted the seige, which led to muslims worldwide general hatred of innocent USA even today by the ignorant. But the leaders of the muslim world are not fools, and knew who was the real culprit - Iran leaders, and thus renewed that ancient feud between Shia and Sunni.

Khomeni was no fool either, and sow hatred against Israel, unconscionably misusing the palestinians' suffering, prolonged by him and his funded Shia Hizbollah terrorists, inorder to distract sunni attention away from him.

Yasser Arafat had mellowed over the years, and finally, with a new generation weary of being used, he tried to find a peaceful end with Israel, but he died. Iran was quick to claim he was assasinated by Israel. But was this the truth? Who actually stand to loose more if peace was acheived with Israel, to want Arafat dead? Iran will have more to loose as then the ancient feud will start up again between Shia and Sunni.

Today, the palestinian rebels Hamas had woken up to who had been pulling their strings all along, more so with evidences of Iran's destabilizing efforts in the Gulf states and the slaughtering of sunnis in Syria by Iran's puppet assad.

With the palestinians no longer wanting to be made used of, Iran no longer has any bogeyman to play with. The arabian sunnis aren't exactly happy with Iran's destabilizing efforts either.

It points to the revival of the ancient feud brewing up again, getting more dramatic everyday.

It has to end. The main culprit to be blamed are the apostate Iranian leaders, NOT the common Shia masses. Shia too worship Allah and revere prophet Muhammad, and all children of the book - muslims, christians, jews, do share common central tenets of Allah's instructions through the divine teachers sent, and equally worships Allah in their own ways. It is the heart, and not the outward forms that counts.

NO child of the Book has the right to kill another fellow child of the book, nor declare war upon another by oneself. It is only an absolute blasphemy to do so. May the slayers of the Shias comprehend this simple teaching prophet Muhammad taught.

It will be their clerics and imans that will be held responsible for the atrocities, regardless if he was a shia, sunni, jew or christian. And the apostate Iranian leaders will pay, one way or another.

The clerics should be rounded up and subjected to mental tests to check if they are insane. If so, then they must be defrocked or be removed from spouting their misinterpretated filth.

The rest of the shias, sunnis and children of the book must not live in fear or hatred. They need to bond within the community, to rebuild trust and fellowship under our common Creator, known by many names over time and space, to progress and evolve.

It will not be easy, but there must be a start somewhere. And there are no lack of courageous children of the book whom will be true to Allah and prophet Muhammad's teachings - to live, to love, to progress and evolve, not commit deadly atrocities upon each other.......

No. There are many more serious reasons that just Friday, as you jokingly claimed. Main one being many muslims had been denied of education, kept ignorant and fed with mis-interpretations, far from what the divine teacher prophet Muhammad had taught.

This is 2013. It is time to reach out to one another, with patience and understanding, as well as be pragmatic, if we ever hope to see an end to such tragedies. Every human life is precious, and means something special to another. It must end. If the leaders fail, then it is up to us - you and me - making use of social media to reach out to others.

Success will not come overnight, but then, truth will always prevail in the end...

Do you mean the different Muslim nations entrenched in pointless bloody battles, the Christians assisting NATO efforts who are not shy to dispense both bomb and bullet, or the Israelis who are embroiled in their own bloody, disgusting feud? The loss of life is astounding, confounding, and when I think about it I can start to taste the bile creeping up my throat.
