From my cold dead Hands

BANDITS have robbed a milkbar in Melbourne's east, threatening the shopkeeper with metal bars before stealing only bubble gum. The two armed men held up the shop on Brunswick Road in Mitcham at 6.50pm on Tuesday.

That's right, if they even think about a Gum Ban, things will get ugly.

With Gum Shop Robberies on the increase there may well be Gum Restrictions, I will not stand for it and I hope I get a chance to debate Piers Morgan on the issue

lol so i guess you can still rob people even without guns.. who would of though.. I myself would rather be shot in the head and die quickly (usually) then hit repeatedly with a metal pipe.

I can see the headlines now:

1. Hostages held at Gumpoint....
2. Two people Gummed down by man with no teeth
3. Nine out of ten students own some form of Gum.
4. Entire High School bans Gum to no avail.
5. Catholic Priest under investigation for Gumming down alter boy.

DAMN!!! I knew aspartame was addicting but

For the people that chew gum (almost every one) its poison. ALL GUM sold in major stores contains aspartame and the newly added NEOTAIME witch does not have to be listed on the package.

What a poorly maintained gum. The owner should be ashamed.

note to OP , could you please edit the title of this thread , i think you've misspelled ...

no wait , i now see you are correct!

maybe it is because of the proliferation of gun related stories / incidents that the robbers have overlooked the more traditional way to aquire free gum / candies ..

shoplifting!

As you can see in the youtube video it's the criminally insane that cause gum related violence.

The powerful gum lobby will never agree to a ban.

A man was arrested today, after his surgeon removed two pounds of illegal gum from his appendix...

It is unclear whether the alleged gum-man was attempting to smuggle the gum into the hospital, or if he had simply forgotten that he had swallowed it...

The Bubble-Blowing Bandit Strikes Again

Shortly after receiving a 911 call where the caller described hearing several 'pops', the police spotted the suspect heading into a densely wooded area, littered with gumtrees...

The ensuing, intense stand-off is on going, as the police simply do not have the lung power to go in after him.

Update at 11...

Eric Holder had better not be involved in any Gum Running across the Mexican Border.

Back in the day, you could even advertise this on television.
Apparently it made people dance..

After chewing on this matter for awhile, I have decided to nominate this thread for Post of the Day!!

In reality, several comments made me laugh out loud--especially dispo's comment. Thanks to all!

BTW, I, too, initially thought the thread title was a spelling error...
