900,000 posts and 30 Million Thread Views!

Yesterday, in a very quiet way, we surpassed 900,000 total board posts (not counting posts in the trash or mod forums) and 30 million thread views! At this pace, we'll exceed 1 million posts in just 45 days (or less). Also, yesterday we finished the installation of new traffic reporting tools, freeing up our primary server from tracking users and running log file analysis (a heavy burden when a daily log file is 1.5 gigabytes which did not include images). The new software showed a low point of 800 simultaneous users on ATS, and a high point of 1,197 simultaneous users on abovetopsecret.com (the new tools are not yet tracking the other sites). Onward and upward.

I can hardly imagine how big it will have become. 10 years is a long time, everything could be completly different then. I just hope we'll have flying car by then.

Congratulations to ATS! I get the feeling that this growth might be short lived. The election has contributed greatly but once it's over and calms down things will probably slow down. Still this is shweet! I can't wait to see ATS in a couple years time. I wonder if Simon Gray could have anticipated this kind of activity on ATS when he founded this excellent site.
