It is not derogatory at all - it is short for yankee - you had a yankee army and it refers to people from the northeastern US, or New England, many of whom are the descendants of colonial English settlers in the region.
Mark Twain one of your most famous authors wrote a book called 'A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court.'

Im concerned about my own government too.. But I pretty much gurantee you that most Americans are not thinking about foriegn policy, or the NWO, but are more pressingly concerned with keeping a roof over their heads and food in their stomaches.. Just like us all.. We are indeed ALL in this together.. We are all up crap creak without a paddle... And I tell you something... No issue,the song is old one 1980.But it got huge again after 911.But it shows that if the SHTF no matter how devided we are we always come back togther in a crisis.That was all I directed you to.
