But the fact is that if you bash any group based on race your thread is deleted from ATS, why isn't it the same when it comes to nationality?

Less of a personal attack, seemingly? Ask the mods that.

How do you bash a nationality without getting personal? The art of Propaganda, maybe? Thats one of the problems I have with America (not Americans). The Main Stream Media is our "mouthpiece" to the world. There was never a more biased agend-ized bit of spew than them. Oh, and our famous "Military Industrial Complex".

And that leads back to the dual nature of our utterances vs. actions. Thats the part you hear me bash about.

lol, i dont think they exist in the wild, they are just bred for tourism and promotion purposes.

I just wanted to say thanks for posting what you did and having a heart for us. I can't help but think that your experience in Allied Mobile Forces helped to shape you into the person that you are as it did me.

As an American, I often feel like lashing out when I feel that folks from other countries are bashing on the USA. I am of a generation that sort of straddles two worlds of thought when it comes to how America's actions in the world are viewed.

On one foot we have been raised to believe that America helped everyone out of their troubles at one time or another and that that is why everyone loves us, or should. And on the other foot, well, all the revisionist stuff, where we mock Christopher Columbus Day for obvious misunderstandings, and all that.

I did used to believe that everyone should love us because we saved their asses at some point. Buuuut....

...then the reading and the history classes, especially the history classes, and it became obvious.

That we did not save anyone's butt at all. On a man to man basis, oh yeah, lots of heroics on all sides, but on a National level?

So I dunno what to do any more. Just pray for better days, I guess.

What freaks me out right now though, my friend, is the mainstreaming of insanity.

I used to have some pretty wacky views in my youth, about things like guns, and governments wanting to take the guns. I'm rambling, but # it. Then there was the stuff one would do with the guns. The whole thing ended up just making me sick. But I got over it. And continued to learn.

But now (!), it's like everyone is doing it, like some sick fad. I actually have relatives who informed me at Christmas that they have guns, are buying more guns, and fully expect the government coming for the guns, or some other SHTF situation is going to cause them to have to use them. And they are smiling at me while telling this stuff.

It's like a nightmare. What kind of deluded moron could possibly think that getting more guns is an answer.

So we got issues dude.

But I am really appreciative of your extension of kindness.

Anyway, you guys still do practice jumps at jump school out of dirigibles?

Only the first jump... The rest is done out of Hercs... Though quite rare to do them nowadays.. We go to America for a lot of jump training now
