Strange...I just went through the Firehose and didn't see any...

There's the usual gun control meltdown threads and Americans bashing America. I don't think that counts as "bashing" if it's Americans doing it to themselves does it? Maybe Yanks are not Americans?
Actually I'm tired. Maybe I am missing something.

As for American bashing, I dont think people go looking for Americans to bash (bash = criticise)
However this board is mostly made up of Americans, and in light of the squabble over guns, America's real mentality comes out.. and boy, it aint pretty!

The terminology "criticising" is not to be equated with "bashing".

If it was, then I believe that it is our obligation (amongst friends) to "bash the yanks" 24/7, because they sure need a lot of criticism these days.

well where i come from we have something called "taking the piss"out of some one. and that's OK and if you cant handle having the piss taken then your soft, but if someone goes too far when taking the piss, then collectively as a group Australians will let that person know they went too far.
now it is a known fact that Americans cannot handle having the piss taken out of them ergo this leads to severe piss taking from Australians, i think this is partially because it is a culture thing, Americans do not understand the concept of taking the piss out of someone.

It would help if some people read an entire thread before claiming everyone is "yank bashing". But I guess it is more fun to create a thread trolling about anti american trolls. My prediction: 30+ stars. You would have got more if it was 3 hours earlier.

PS- Is this going to be labelled Brit bashing now?
