Iran is designing “intelligent software” that would give citizens restricted and controlled access to banned social networking sites, local media on Sunday quoted police chief Esmaeil Ahmadi Moghadam as saying.

“Smart control of social networks will not only avoid their disadvantages, but will also allow people to benefit from their useful aspects,” Ahmadi Moghadam said, as cited by the 7Sobh daily.

“The designing of intelligent software to control social networking websites” is underway, he added

this is a new news for me. I prefer ATS. at least ATS is not filtered here
however I have no interest to special social sites. and I have no doubt they would do whatever they can to control facebook , twitter...........
after the election riots of four years ago what it is called green revolution they became very harsh to control social sites.
and now that PressTV is somehow filtered I can expect that they would filter some western medias too ....!
I think a war of filtration is in progress !!! and both sides consider that part of their cyber battle.

yes. ATS is not filtered. their pressures are all on facebook and twiter mostly.
