Mods, apologize if this was posted already somewhere. But here it is. A flower supposedly was found on Mars.

The Mars rover Curiosity found what many are calling a martian ‘flower.’ According to photos sent from the rover, there seem to be peculiar petal-shaped objects sprouting out of Mars’ red earth. The objects are pearl-white and clustered together...“It’s one piece of the puzzle,” said rover mission project scientist John Grotzinger, of the California Institute of Technology in Pasadena. “It has a crosscutting relationship to the surrounding rock and appears to have formed after the deposition of the layer that it transects.

ive seen these posts around with this image.. and urs is the onlly one im responding to..

i think it's just a piece of quartzite rock.. nothing at all different or special that we dont have here on earth. ive seen alot of those with their shiny pearloid finish.. they're just rocks and pebbles.. definitely not a flower.
