Possible End Around Game For a Gun Ban...

Ok this popped into my head while thinking of what they might do. This is purely speculation on my part but certainly fits into their MO IMO if they were to try something like this'

What if congress fails to pass a ban and they pull some "phony assassination" attempt at the inauguration or where ever or maybe even on congress or selected reps and or senators and then blame it on some militia, someone or group making noise about the calls for a ban?

Think about it, it's almost the perfect false flag and end around having to go through congress? It could even be used to declare formal martial law (yes I know we already operate under the war powers act). Martial law comes with automatic gun control and bypasses all constitutional safe guards in one felled swoop (which is why it is unconstitutional).

Maybe they even try it before congress votes if it looks like it will not go their way? it's easy for them to hire some contractors to pretend to be pro gun patriots and make the phony attempt and voilà!

So, you think it's absolutely impossible that some pro-gun nut really would try to assassinate the president? You mean the ONLY way it could happen would be a false flag event? Really? I think it's totally possible that there are some nuts out there who are getting all worked up over this, to the point of wanting to do harm to the president. Don't you?

Nice strawman but no cigar for you since nowhere in the OP is any such thing even hinted at. Anything is possible of course but your scenario is so highly unlikely it's not worth considering. Actually police have a higher crime rate per capita then law abiding gun owners so with your twisted illlogic we should be more worried about one of them doing it...

thought about that one way back when it was annouced that Obama campaign contributors would finance the shindig.

for me, that was a HUGE red flag.
still anticipating something happening on or around that day.

President assassinations and assassination attempts do happen, mostly because someone was very unhappy about something. I think some pro-gun people are very, very unhappy right now - I also think it's entirely possible that one or some of them may be considering ridding this country of someone they see as a threat to their freedoms. To say that it's so unlikely it's not worth considering is denial on your part.

While the possibility a pro-gun person would attempt assassination exists, the probability is ridiculously low.

Whereas, this leftist fed.gov has shown it's willingness to do whatever it takes to achieve that which they seek to achieve.

Rank and file gun owners are law abiding, friendly, and, decent people who don't go around making rash decisions, and, then following up with stupid actions. They are folks seeking to live quiet lives while pursuing happiness and The American Dream.

Anti's just can't seem to grasp that, for some reason.
They seem to think we are all sitting around stroking our guns (pun intended) while dreaming of committing mass murder on a bunch of innocent children, or, murdering sitting Presidents.

For some reason these people think that gun owners are some small section of society. They don't get that almost 50% of US households have at least one firearm.

Gun control is a cowards reaction to freedom.

Freedom is a double-edged sword.

With real freedom comes the risk that people won't use their freedom appropriately.

You are right. Pick a issue and you will find someone who is either violently for or against it.

Plenty of cases out there though where someone with an agenda attacks or dupes some poor sucker into attacking their own cause. Just to get the media spotlight and gin up more support for their cause.

A failed assassination (real or staged as a False Flag [FF]) will not result in a declaration of Martial Law per se but it will (as I have stated previously) set up the condition for the President to immediately issue Executive Orders for Gun Control to do the end around the Congress. The people and the Congress would be less inclined to challenge said EOs on GC because "they" tried to assassinate him and he, as head of state, has a right to self preservation (also which trumps your right). It will take a super Terror Attack (FF or "911" on steroids) where the death toll was 300,000 not 3000 to facilitate a declaration of Martial Law. BTW, where in the Constitution does it say that the "inalienable" rights of the citizens can be revoked under martial vs civilian law?

On a more serious note, I understand what the OP is getting at.
There is no way the People will stand for their rights to be taken away.

However, through a red flag scenario where a crisis would occur [remember, never let a good crisis go to waste] and cause fear among people, it would make it easier for TPTB to push their agenda through.

Their agenda.....to disarm the majority.

As it was pointed out in another thread, the Feds probably fear the population due to the fact that they own approx. 300,000,000 guns.

In a SHTF scenario, there is no way the the gov. could control the people.

But if you insist on disarming the population of their guns, you do realize that not only would the cops/military have them but also the thugs, A.K.A. the Bad Guys? Those bad criminal types will always find a way to get guns.
And how are you going to defend yourself when they break into your home? Wait for the cops? What if it takes them 30-40 minutes or longer to get there? Then what? Use harsh words? Bake cookies and sing songs? Maybe offer them a beer? Because if you think that they won't harm you if you comply with them, well you're extremely gullible. That's a 50/50 chance that I personally don't want to take.

Do we really want to live in a society like that?
