He was charged with killing Kenneth Bridges, 53, outside a gas station in Fredericksburg, Virginia, and attempting to kill Caroline Seawell at an arts and crafts store, also in Spotsylvania County.

Malvo, 19, already is serving a life sentence without parole for the murder of FBI analyst Linda Franklin, 47, outside a Home Depot in Fairfax County, Virginia.

During his first trial, Malvo, a Jamaican, admitted taking part in the shootings, but his attorneys argued he was brainwashed by convicted accomplice John Allen Muhammad.

Malvo's accomplice, John Allen Muhammad was sentanced to death for his role in the shootings earlier this year. Malvo first claimed that he was brainwashed by Muhammad to take part in this crime spree.

Malvo avoided the death penalty, however will never step foot outside of prison. Did he deserve to be put to death?
