In a way its a pretty powerful position....you are one of the closest people to the president, photographing official/family moments and are able to point and shoot something at the POTUS without being tackled by secret service!

How could it be the moment he was told ? Wouldn't he have been told right away, and how was somebody else there waiting to take a picture of him about said shooting before it even happened ?
