has just 'dropped out of school' due to people showing up at OSU in search of him and threats
being made at the school towards him and threats in his hometown.
The wheels of justice may let this one away but the justice of his peers seem to have a different idea.
"When people are saying that our police department did not follow procedure, that the football team runs the city, that is not the case," Davison said. "They went by the book. Everything was handled in an above-board fashion to make sure that the case can benefit from the fullest extent of the law."

Mr. Davison, are you sure about that? You're absolutely sure they actually went by the book in every respect?
Would you be comfortable making this exact statement while testifying under oath?
Are you anticipating there will be more arrests?
Fellow ATSers, sometimes I can't tell if I should be laughing or crying.

I think that those well-connected people were hoping that all of this would have blown over. In the end, what does the rest of the world really mean to this town? Everyone who matters knows everyone else, so in turn they defend each other. How can a young girl stand up to such a force? She can easily be convinced that it was her fault, and have her case hidden among who knows how many others. I am going to read Alexandria Goddard's blog on the matter; it the one page that I have not visited and seems to be the main source of this investigation.

Well if true, karma's a b***h It sounds awful, but I have no sympathy for him being threatened, just like he had no respect for her. I may sound like a bad person but I hope it is true, at least that would be some extremely minor measure of justice. He's messed in the head if he thought that he would receive no negative feedback from what he did after it became public knowledge.

The media is just doing what it always does...sensationalizing.

Yes I do understand the judicial system and the message being conveyed by XCHANDRA.
Vigilante justice is just as bad as raping a person... If people are so hell bent on holding people accountible how about you let the system do its job instead of trying to pull a 100 meter rush to judgement based solely on video that was leaked.
We have absolutely NO idea what the remaining evidence is.
Look at it from this point of view, since you seem to be so familiar with our legal system.
Understand what double jeopardy is...
Understand what separate sovereigns are in our legal system and how they interact with each other.
Understand statute of limitations
Once done, think about this.
If the evidence collected is weak for a prosecution, the best position is to hold those cards close and dont play them. Allow the investigations to continue (and they are) and see if new evidence emerges. A comment down the road by a person who thinks this is all over with can result in solid prosecutions resulting in convictions on charges that are commensurate with the crime instead of having to settle for lesser charges because of weak evidence.
Charging into a prosecution is not always the best option, for the prosecution nor the victims

The report from the Department also stated that excessive force was levied against individuals who witnessed incidents of police misconduct, and against those who were known critics of the city and its police force.
...
It also stated that the officers involved also falsified reports and tampered with official police recorders so that "misconduct would not be recorded."
