Haha, got the hell outta there about a week ago. Just rang my folks, 43 where they are and a bushfire warning about 40kms away. Then I came home and it followed me. Currently 37.6, just starting to cool down(SE Queensland), with NE winds. Sposed to be raining later, so it'll just get humid and hot then.

Even too hot to go in the pool...

Oh No! Are you serious? I'm in Melbourne and it's stinking hot here today. And we generally get your Weather a day or so later.
Lets hope we dont have a repeat of the 2009 Black Saturday bush fires when 173 people lost their life, Lets hope that people in areas most susceptible are more prepared this year. I am pretty sure the Fireys'are ready just in case.

We are expecting Saturday at 30, Sunday at 35 and then back into the low to mid 40s for as far as the extended forecast can see. Buckle up!

I too hope the Bush fires do not pay a flaming visit, but in these temps we can only hope to control them. I am very concerned with the lower temps and cloud in the next few days. Lightening is what we do not need and yet it looks pretty scary!

Our bush fire alert system has set Catastrophic fire danger in two states. That is as high as it goes.

Stay safe.

Lol. In the winter we have both a temperature and a "feels like" because of wind chill.

Where I am, it's warmed up to a balmy -5C, and it says it also feels like -5.

45 sounds just way too hot. I like summer to come on slowly.....

OK, cool, I learn't something. We also have some interesting add ons like sun factor etc. These are warnings to either use lots of sunscreen or stay covered.

In South Australia we have one out of control bushfire. The next week will be telling! It could get real ugly real fast.

Is that the one near Finniss? My folks can see the smoke from their house, and I've just been told a friend near there is evacuating livestock. Apparently they've just bought Elvis in to do water drops.
Pretty worried...

Yes, that is the one. We should get it under control by tomorrow with the temp expected to be only 30. Next week could be a problem, I can't see us not having a major problem somewhere but then, this is Australia!

44.5 at my workplace today (in Hobart).
We've had an entire community destroyed by fire to the south... and the fire is currently uncontained. Things aren't good here.
