Does anyone think the Taliban or any of the knuckleheads they associate with give a damn about the Hague, International Law, human rights, and preserving the life of the innocent? If they did? They would not set up camp among civilians, hang out at weddings, hide in mosques, or congregate where civilians are found. Apparently, they don't give a crap about the civilians they put at risk by their presence in the villages and populated areas! Why don't they carry out their operations from the bush or the mountains like insurgents from the past instead of risking the lives of civilians by operating in such close proximity to them? In warfare, there is collateral damage. It is what it is.
Although, I think there is two sides to the equation, and the insurgents and extremists can make every effort to steer clear of civilians, but they don't. They use the civilians as camouflage and pawns to provide protection and to carry out operations. That is simple fact. The minute the gloves come off ever so slightly? People are screaming to high heaven, and banging their pots and pans. I just don't understand! The enemy has been in a bare-knuckle brawl since this nonsense began.
