Attack on election day, then Bush can declare Martial Law.

THATS it...

Its Election Day Tuesday and the terrorist have struck with the same MO as in Spain, they wait for the busiest times during the day, more people are on the subway going to the polls, its NY their favorite target.

The recon about numbers of peoples going by the financial district is a diversion but part of the calculations. They are not going to hit the buildings, but the lines under the buildings. They recon'd all the subway exits downtown near the financial districts. They want to cut the money flow. They choose the towers because A a big tall target easy to hit with a plane and B it housed lots of investment companies. Now they are in a land attack mode and have a proven strategy from the attack in spain.

Add in some nasty chemicals in the bomb material and not only do you get kills from the explosives but you have a chance at getting the first responders. Maybe this is a macabe reminder of the loss of police and fireman in the towers. Backpacks timed with explosives dropped off at the top of the exit stairs coming from the subway platforms co-ordinated with the bombs in the subway get more kills as people are trying to escape along with taking out the people exiting the lobbies of the financial buildings fearing the bombs going off underneath might bring the buildings down.

Crap... this could be bad.

And no, the elections will not be stopped, but I bet the coverage will be insane on the news because of the events in NY and then trying to track the poll returns.

If there is a dirty bomb or several in the subway system under the financial district think of the nightmare the commuters would have getting to work. If there was enough radiological contamination to block it off for several months (years???)

There will be no October Suprise. There will be no Terror attack, because it would only benefit Bush, because it would turn people off of the economy and back to the terrorist threat, which is the last thing the terrorists want. There MIGHT be a major terror attack overseas, particularly in Iraq, which would show Bush's policy as a failure.

Lastly, Kerry will win because he's promising more, and the youth and seniors are more self-serving today than they have ever been.

Hey this might look good in the collabrative fiction or other writing threads and I for one would be glad to collaberate on this it has potential.

WHAT how could it possibly benefit Bush to look so weak in the war on terror he cant even keep the US safe...... I dont see it, he becomes a failure in the Homeland Security issues.

This is a very serious issue that I think alot of us should voice our honest opinions on.

The first President "Bush" will pull Bin Laden out of his hat.

The second we will face another terrorist attack here in the United States.

First, I wish "Bush" considered bin Laden a serious issue, which he obviously doesn't. His statement of "You know, honestly, I don't really think about him that much" says it all.

Second, I wish "Bush" considered another terrorist attack a serious issue. Instead of finding bin Laden, he can pull a billion dollars a week out of our pockets just to piss off a lot more people, in effect making himself the new poster child for terrorist recruitment, rather than spending $200 billion on securing the borders and ports. Which would be more than enough, if done correctly.

As soon as he announced he wanted to grant blanket immunity and citizenship to some 8 million currently illegal aliens, probably to secure the minority vote in 7 days, I knew that he was a fraud.

OK I should of called this the Bush Bashing Thread

Now, it seems most want to answer this by saying basically 'whatever will work for Bush". I guess free thought is not something we exercise.

What does your own instinct tell you, How do you feel etc.. Stop basing all of your own thoughts on another mans agenda.

Now,,, In your own gut....... will there be another terrorist attack within the next 7 days and do you feel Osama Bin Laden will captured or will you answer again be "How this will work for someone elses agenda?"..

Just my thoughts...

Was there ever a successful terror attack on U.S. soil outside of the Bush admin? And please don't say the 90 WTC bombing or the Okie bombing.

Sorry,,, I did'nt answer I asked. Yes I believe something is in the works. Maybe not before but during the recount that Bush will demand.

Due to the excessive coverage of Goverment released video of Bin Laden being released proving he was still alive .... I think a body will be produced just like the bodies of the Hussein sons was, when public opinion was at its lowest and the investigations at their highest.....Its a pull your arse out of the fire ploy that has been well used by Bush so far.

Answer to your question???>

How ignorant can you be... You are blaming Bush's admin on a terrorist attack. Understand this.. he is a man, not a "GOD". How do you expect him to protect everyone at all times? Are you that arrogant to think one man and his administration can stop anything and everything that possibly could happen? If you do, "I'm sorry" the real world dosent work that way.

just my thoughts!!

I don't know about that so far he claims that " god talk to him" and that "god told him to attack Iraq" so I kind of going to be a littler bit leaning to "bush thinks he is a supreme being"

The unfortunate fact is that ALQ did recon those areas. And they did blow up some trains in Spain killing some people. And there is/are reports about chatter regarding the subway system which resulted in the port authority being placed on high alert and some train stoppages because of some received threats.

If I was a terrorists this would sound like an easy to pull off, plus high impact operation, with low risk of interruption and high percentage of success in its objectives.

I have been racking my brains for weeks trying to figure out what would result in the biggest "hit/ratio" for them. I thought about the debate in Arizona, knock off both candidates, turn both parties on end looking for candiadates this late in the process but security has too tight and too obvious.

Sports games, arenas, concerts, but they only affect a small percentage of the population and it would require lots of explosives because of the large open areas. You could knock off maybe a hundred or so but in the big scheme it would be hard to take a lot of people out in a large venue without a large amount of explosives which would be easily observed and stopped.

Plus there are people that would say, well I never goto a (arena, concert, sports game) so I am safe to go about my regular day so they are targeting large groups of people.... This is not highly effective to the terrorists.

You need concentrated, confined spaces to maximize the explosive power and destruction. In LA you would have to blow up traffic as most people rely on cars etc. This requires again lots of explosives and lots of suicide cars. With limited impact. People will still drive. You could blow up a few buses full of low income people, but do you think that would have an impact on richy snobby people (no).

I hope its fiction.

I would think that more intellectual people would understand that "he did not say "God told him to do it" but rather searches for the answers within prayer as most people do. I on the other hand am not religious but do understand that a majority of the people living in the United States are Holy people and believe in a religion. Does this mean everytime someone says; they looked for God to give them the answers that they are or think they are actually talking to him? Or are they looking for the inner peace within themselves to make such a concious decision???

I wasn't bashing Bush, I was naming hypothetical situations that could happen. I voted for Bush on my absentee ballot. There, I said it. I'm not sure I know whats going on in the govt. I don't know whats going on with terrorists. Bush, could be a terrorist. Kerry could be a terrorist. Al Quada could be fictional. North Korea may nuke us. Ashlee Simpson could have talent. HYPOTHETICALS ALL OF THEM. I am guessing that there COULD and probably will be a terrorist attack around the elections. I had vacation time, and I don't really care when I take vacation, so I took it to coincide with the election. However, these are just gut reactions. The only thing i'm sure of is that the cardinals will beat boston tonight in Game 3 of the world series.

I don't know about you but running a country "with prayers" and going into a war because of "prayers" will bring a lot of question marks as the sanity of our president and his well being. The death of thousands of people in Iraq does not bother our president much, for somebody in the "religious" state of mind.

And you don't need to be a " genious " to see somethign is wring with that.

Marg

I dont see it and dont think you do as well. People who are religious pray every day and then some just go to church on Sunday's, They believe in a belief system, a "God". Now by interpeting this in a sane way "Beliefs vs Self" If you were taught in your up bringing to live your life by the bible and its structure, you are going to make decisions upon prayer aka "beliefs". If you werent you are going to make decisions on ????? Answer that for me please...

Just because a man chooses to make decisions by his beliefs does not mean he is wrong, he knows no different and has no other way of judging if his actions are right or wrong!!!

God did not tell President Bush what to do, his beliefs helped guide him in the decisions he has made.

Well I believe theres not going to be a terrorist attacks before the election, and i dont believe there will be a terrorist attack before the year is over. What I do believe is that Homeland Secruity director will raise the terrorist alert to the highest level, which will pull people away from the issues that matter: the environment, the economy, education, and etc. And once the terror attack doesnt happen Bush can come out and say we prevented it. Which will make him look good to the voters.

I'm not the only one who feels that way so I guess there are many of us ignorant ones. We are the ones who will make sure Kerry is elected on 11-02
