Interesting Article from Pravda on American and Russian gun control with some history

This well armed population was what allowed the various White factions to rise up, no matter how disorganized politically and militarily they were in 1918 and wage a savage civil war against the Reds. It should be noted that many of these armies were armed peasants, villagers, farmers and merchants, protecting their own. If it had not been for Washington's clandestine support of and for the Reds, history would have gone quite differently.

Moscow fell, for example, not from a lack of weapons to defend it, but from the lieing guile of the Reds. Ten thousand Reds took Moscow and were opposed only by some few hundreds of officer cadets and their instructors. Even then the battle was fierce and losses high. However, in the city alone, at that time, lived over 30,000 military officers (both active and retired), all with their own issued weapons and ammunition, plus tens of thousands of other citizens who were armed. The Soviets promised to leave them all alone if they did not intervene. They did not and for that were asked afterwards to come register themselves and their weapons: where they were promptly shot. Of course being savages, murderers and liars does not mean being stupid and the Reds learned from their Civil War experience. One of the first things they did was to disarm the population. From that point, mass repression, mass arrests, mass deportations, mass murder, mass starvation were all a safe game for the powers that were. The worst they had to fear was a pitchfork in the guts or a knife in the back or the occasional hunting rifle. Not much for soldiers.

For those of us fighting for our traditional rights, the US 2nd Amendment is a rare light in an ever darkening room. Governments will use the excuse of trying to protect the people from maniacs and crime, but are in reality, it is the bureaucrats protecting their power and position. In all cases where guns are banned, gun crime continues and often increases. As for maniacs, be it nuts with cars (NYC, Chapel Hill NC), swords (Japan), knives (China) or home made bombs (everywhere), insane people strike. They throw acid (Pakistan, UK), they throw fire bombs (France), they attack. What is worse, is, that the best way to stop a maniac is not psychology or jail or "talking to them", it is a bullet in the head, that is why they are a maniac, because they are incapable of living in reality or stopping themselves.

I thought this was an interesting take on what transpired in Russia and some of the guiding light rhetoric used to stir the pot. If I were Russia, China or ??? it would be nice to see the Good Old USA melt from within, no?
Anyway regardless of the intent it was a well written article which I found informative.

What they hate is guns in the hands of those who are not marching in lock step of their ideology. They hate guns in the hands of those who think for themselves and do not obey without question.

Well said for a Russian......Anyone else with a different take on the subject?

I recall Edgar Cayce saying in a reading, Russia would be a positive influence in the salvation of the US. Interesting read.

Progressives need to wake up!!!!!!! Your beliefs are leading you towards the wrong allies. The leaders using you could care less about what you believe. They are using you and playing you all for fools.




Do you really think TPTB are taking away guns for the reasons they put forward? It is all lies and by the time you figure it out it will be to late. The real reason is control and that includes control of speech. You might wake up one day and be on the wrong side of the fence.




Progressives need to wake up and see this for what it really is. Put your beliefs aside and look at the bigger picture. Do you trust the leaders we have in office? What happens when your leaders are voted out ?

The cold war notwithstanding, the USA has, from the beginning, supported the Soviet state and the Reds who set it up. If the USA was pro-Red in 1918, how pro-Red is it today? Keep your guns, even if the SWAT team is at your door, and especially then.

I had heard from western sources, Internet chatter etc etc how the Evil Banksters had funded the Reds but that was the first time (for me anyway) I read the same thing from Pravda or a Russian source.

Not much reading and studying of Russian history except WWll and my Normal General Overview; certainly not the nuts and bolts of how things went down.

I always wondered how a bank made money supporting a losing cause so I suppose they pick and chose wisely.

The people who stood by and did nothing when the Reds were at the gate had an outcome that I bet many would have liked a "do over" just before the hammer fell.

It was the same LEFTWINGERS who supported the Reds in the Soviet Union that implemented the Federal Reserve through their lackey Woodrow Wilson, another PROGRESSIVE DEMOCRAT...

In 1918 Woodrow Wilson was President of the United States, and Congress was a mayority DEMOCRATS as well...

LEFTWINGERS have ALWAYS been in favor of the Reds/socialists/communists, and like ALWAYS they want to ignore or dismiss the facts about their ideologies and where they lead.

I was born in Cuba, and in these forums, as well as outside the forums leftwingers have been so closed-minded and with a hatred against anyone who speaks the truth about socialism/communism to the point that they would claim I am a paid spook of the U.S. government...

For the most part leftwingers don't want to accept the truth, and would rather history repeat itself thinking that "it won't happen again even if we are doing EXACTLY what was done in the past and led to socialist/fascist/communist dictatorships...

America is in a fragile state and growing more fragile by the minute. I don't think the article had any hidden agenda behind it however would Russia really invade the US if we were to present an opportunity? I mean they're still repopulating and gaining moment again from past wars. A war with the US would only set them back much farther. However China, the only thing they would have to gain in the land and resources. Their bills wouldn't be paid if they come after us. They are both growing powers though, Russia and China have an emerging relationship. United States needs to become close friends with both nations fast in my opinion.

They make money because they fund both sides and the longer they can keep the fight going the more they make.

I was noting the other day two of the top headlines, representing 'big debates' in the US and Britain.

US? "Marine writes letter to Feinstein against gun control..."
Britain? "60,000 ppl put on Pathway to Death..."

The US gov't is trying to turn the population against guns, hoping to disarm the citizens.
Britains surrendered their weapons, and now they have a government that has begun forced euthanasia.

Seems like there's a good lesson in there somewhere for the US people...

I read an article recently that showed 1300 kids died from drunk driving in 2010 or close to it..I forget the year. Yet we are putting gambling machines in bars here in Illinois...obviously 1300 dead kids from alcohol isnt as bad as a school shooting in their minds.

You are spot on in that this is an agenda outside of what is being shown.

In 2008 Russia's Homicide/Manslaughter rate continued to fall, coming in at roughly 16.5/100,000. That puts it much higher than the United States, Europe, and almost all Asian countries... but it is still an improvement compared to recent years.
