Pope's new year address deplores rampant capitalism

Well, the pope is wrong again. He is using the word Capitalism. What we have today isn't capitalism even though it has a few similarities. Just the name is wrong, his philosophy is correct.

I'll never cut down the Catholic Church, they have done a lot of good in the past. Maybe their problem was in bending too many rules to please the rulers of the world. It wasn't the Catholic Church that killed off the Indians in this country. It was people doing it in the name of god. I would say the Catholic Church should have stood up more to stop this but the masses wanted to get the land from the Indians. It was the sentiment of the time.
