Your reply sounds like a puppet of the military bosses, a complete and unconditional surrender. This will result in a lot of anarchy, revolution and disruption as the Korea nation has been cut into two very distinct cultures over time. There are a lot of logistics, technicalities and issues that need to be assessed, planned and formalized to minimize the difficulties that both sides will face with reunification. Eventually the decision must be made and date set for the wall to come down, unless both sides are ready and prepared for what will happen, what needs to be done and how it is to be structured a bad situation will be made worst.

Receipe for peace

1. Close down the Gulags

2. Free the people.

3. Hold local elections to elect party officials (genuine democracy can follow later)

4. Open the border betweem North and South and allow free movement of people on both sides

5. Introduce Glasnot/Peristroka style reforms. If Gorby could do it so can Kimmy.

6. Invite world leaders to N Korea for a chin wag and sign peace accords etc

Mix with peace doves, balloons and dancing and you have the real chance of progress being made.

As to the millions killed over many decades in the concentration camps well those responsible should be brought to justice. The crime is just too huge to ignore. They have gas chambers there, tourture chambers and summary executions. You cant allow that to go unpunished.
