Maybe not what you'd like, but two of my favorite "recent" movies are "Arthur" (remake) and "Crazy, Stupid, Love". Everybody hates the actor in "Arthur" (no spoilers from me, even the actor's name) but it's like he was born for the role.

You seem to like the violence porn. My all-time favorite, and I'm sure you've seen it, is "Kill Bill" (both movies as one movie).

"The Avengers is a good action flick and funny as hell. Hulk rules"

All due respect, I just literally laughed out loud

And they do still make great movies. 2012 was the best year for movies in a very long time.

Cabin in the Woods (technically 2011)
Looper
Moonrise Kingdom
Seven Psychopaths
The Master
Lincoln
Man with the Iron Fists (which was a terrible movie, but it's got some decent action and it's kind of crazy)
The Raid Redemption (technically not 2012, but it got its wide release this year.)
Jiro Dreams of Sushi
Argo
Lawless
Wreck-It Ralph

And a ton of movies I still haven't seen yet:
Dredd
Invisible War
Haywire
Beasts of the Southern Wild
Goon
Killer Joe
Queen of Versailles
Searching for Sugar Man
Compliance
Holy Motors
Smashed
Killing Them Softly
Zero Dark Thirty
Django Unchained

It was an absolutely crazy year for movies.

One of my favs for 2012 Limitless(Watch)

I think you may dig this one, although it is from 09, it has a unique plot with some dark angles.

Watch The Box
Also check this site for movie watching,it is awesome! Putlocker is always a good option, but downloading the Divx free streamer is best.

A-ha, I love movies, so let me suggest a few of my favourites:

1.) "What Dreams May Come" with Robin Williams (At IMDB)

2.) "The Fountain" with Hugh Jackman (At IMDB)

3.) "Sunshine" (At IMDB)

NOTE:
These are just some of my all-time favourites.
If you want, I can name some more.

Regards
QMask

I do love "What Dreams May Come" too!

New movies I saw that scary movie I can't think of the name-the guy like Slenderman-white face-black suit-kids kill their parents while he watches them? Damn...

I love: Insidious, Inception, Shutter Island, Bourne Supremacy movies, Donnie Darko, Fear and loathing in Las Vegas,The Simpson's Movie, Shawshank, Oh Brother where art thou?, Constantine, The Chronicles of Riddick-and the others that go along with that one, Event Horizon, The Grinch, Total Recall, The old Philadelphia Experiment, SpongeBob, Star Wars, Freddy Movies, Halloween (my favorite Halloween movie of all-time), and so many others.

I can never recommend "Primer" enough link

Netflix also has a movie right now that I found really entertaining called "Lunopolis". It's sort of in a documentary style, but its a pretty fun sci-fi flick. link

Whatever happened with the good movies man?

Looking on Netflix and the movies are junk.

Back in the day, they had good movies with Will Smith, like "Independence Day", and Jackie Chan flicks, and Steven King flicks, and The Makers of "Saw", Vin Diesel movies, The Transporter....

Gosh, nothing good to watch.

Name some films for me.

Good catch. There were a few (like Terminator 2) that I left off because I thought she had probably seen them, but I must not have noticed Big Lebowski in my "Watch it Again" list.

these days there's no such thing as a good movie but a few members already suggested a movie called "Looper" and i have to say it is a really good movie so i definitely back the suggestions. it's not your average action, shoot'em-up flick.. the story is definitely intriguing. this is one to watch for sure.

Dredd was ok so was Total Recall but thinking back Looper is actually the only movie i liked enough to watch a few times and that's pretty sad.

My sister got the Avengers at Redbox, so I'll watch that today.

Red Box

Avengers

The Amazing Spiderman- Are you kidding me.

Total Recall

Prometheus
