This may go in political madness, I don't know, but it's certainly going to be a rant.

I am LIVID <---- more than this emoticon can express.

I have tried to be cheery and upbeat about all of this, but the more I think about it, the more I need to let off some steam. I received a call at home on CHRISTMAS DAY by my boss telling me that because of uncertainties with future business, I don't get any more hours. Now, I am a full time employee and I pay for all of my expenses ALONE, and here I am with this lump of coal on Christmas Day. It's been a week and I'm still not back to work and when I asked my employer when I will be able to come back, he tells me he doesn't know.

So, with there being no jobs out here, because I have already been searching, I am forced to apply for partial unemployment insurance with zero hours that yes (I FREAKING PAID INTO MY WHOLE WORKING CAREER THANK YOU VERY MUCH !)

Anyway, I have to apply for this partial unemployment because technically I am still employed but getting zero hours. Why ? Because my employer is waiting on what Washington DC does with the fiscal cliff. Or at least that is what he an other employers are using as an excuse to screw workers. We are literally being tossed aside with the attitude of "Let the government deal with them" Meanwhile the government is just sitting here, allowing the uncertainty and playing games with everyone's lives. Small businesses, employees, everyone.

They are not happy causing uncertainty among small businesses, no. Now they want to cut benefits that we paid for, like UNEMPLOYMENT INSURANCE. I mean come on. I did NOTHING to cause this mess. I did nothing to lose those hours. Hell, I am literally STILL EMPLOYED with ZERO HOURS having to file for partial UNEMPLOYMENT and all of my bills are going to be behind now. Do you think they will understand my situation ? NOPE ! Do you all see what the heck is wrong with this picture ? This isn't America. This is not how it's supposed to be.

All these folks putting down everyone else for having to use government assistance, I'd like to hear from you, now. You tell me what the hell I'm supposed to do now ? Huh ? You think I'm the only one out there being screwed like this ? You think I'm the only one in employment limbo like this ? Do you think this is fair ? Huh ? Do you think this is the American way ? Am I a moocher now ? Huh. Am I sucking on the gummint tit now ? Please explain to me how this is all my fault ?

And to put the rotten cherry on top of this sundae, Congress is getting freaking pay raise.
