True Hustlers Undergoing Struggles are not necessarily drug dealers. Any hustler knows there is always a hustle, regardless of scenario. I can hustle bubble gum and cologne if I have to. I used to sell shoes.

Both potential parents must be clean, no illegal drug use. Both must show good working habits and have had jobs at least for over the last two years. Both must show they can save money and spend money responsibly. Both must take and pass responsible parenting classes. ( in many states it may be required that the two get married before the having children)

If you can do these things, you get a legal voucher for up to as many kids as you and your partner can properly support. Having other kids after this if you can't support them would be a criminal offense and your other kids could be taken from you and given to better homes - depending on the situation.

This is all easily doable. It would solve tons of problems and make for more healthier happier households.

I think your missing the issue a bit. I dont care how much a parent loves that child without a job and personal responsibility that kid won't be cared for properly. I'm sure all those mothers who let their kids run wild really loved them when they were born and those kids made their eyes light up. You have to couple the love for a kid with the right stuff to see them through to becoming grown adults. It's not up to society as a whole to raise peoples kids, it's about individual adult responsibility - that's what so many people are failing at. It doesn't matter why they fail at this.. we could discuss that all day, it only matters that something gets done to fix the problem.

It can be said that people who really love their children will do these things automatically - and you would hope that would be the case with all parents.. yet sadly love is not enough for many people. Perhaps they start out this way but lose hope due to personal or financial problems. Thing is you need something in place to get them back on track and IMO only harsher laws concerning having kids can solve this.. hasn't everything else already been tried and is found not working?

If you have a better solution that hasn't been tried, lets chat about it.

Pay people in the inner city to read and understand the Gospel. Every week have 2 passages to read and understand as taught by the Church, pay 50-100$ a week for each person to do this. I wish the someone would let me run a program like that in Detroit, in fact it is my life goal to implement a program like that.

Or we could just start teaching that love is COOL, not pink butterflies and stuff like our young men think of. Make it COOL. It actually is the coolest, once you discover true love.

Our young men think shooting and war is cool. Show them the truth. Don't ban Jesus from Schools, let them know its OK to know Satan is real and LOVE conquers all and is the greatest thing on earth. LOVE. people just don't get what love is. It doesn't feel good, no not at all. If you love the other fallen in the world you are sad.

I grew up in Detroit. I spent my first 17 years there actually. South West Side. Then I joined the Army and spent 20 years in the service. I ahve been back home for a little over a year.

I was a typical Detroit kid. Made my money and earned my respect. I lost 20-30 friends from grade school to high school. The big difference between me and many others is I feared my father. He was a God on earth to me and I never acted up if I thought he would catch me. He never once put his hands on me, not one pop or one spanking my whole life. But he could talk to me and I would understand what true shame was.

Kids don't have that anymore. My father started working when he was 14. At 15 he lied about his age and joined the army in order to fight in the korean war. He worked his whole life to provide to others. That is where I see the problem today. A generation ago we were falling apart, now kids have two parents that have never had a job (and possibly four grandparents that have never had jobs). There is nobody in the home to teach kids how to be self reliant.

Teach all the bible verses you want, it won't help. We in Detroit understand love already. We just know love for our brothers and sisters. The people a few blocks over do not fit into our equations.

The Dead Kennedy's had it right 30 years ago "kill the poor".

I agree with you, but that will never happen. Anton LeVey was correct in his prediction that the majority of the US would be Satanists without even knowing it. And it is true. Just look around. People worship themselves. They worship money and tangible possessions. They care only about themselves.

It was not the toy gun nor was it violent movies or video games it was his social circumstances.

Yes video games and movies do add to the problem, the glorify actions such as this, however I watched violent movies as a child and never done this. I do think that much of it has to do with role models, most kids his age look up to footballers who are not exactly a ideal role model.

Much of it has to do with society and his parents, if you hear your dad speaking like that as a child then you’re going to say the same kind of stuff.

I don’t think that it’s the fault of violent video games or movies, they don’t help make it any better but I do not think you can look at what that kid said and conclude that it is the fault of the video games he plays or the movies he has seen.

No I think Jesus had it right when he told us to love the poor, and to provide for them.

One of the biggest problems in Detroit is everyone feels they have to be proud and self-reliant. Being from Detroit you surely know what I am talking about. "Take handout from a charity? No not me, but when I flip this zip ima cop some yay's ( or whatever other designer frames) n mess with some girls." Then when they get caught trying to make it bounce back they snitch on their right hand man and join the police. From the start - all they had to do was look for charity. The idea of personal responsibility and self-reliance BREEDS this and you know it.

You never read the Gospel, obviously, and probably do not profess the Lord as yours. Otherwise you would not have quoted the dead Kennedy's (did any of them actually say that?). You would have quoted God instead, because His wisdom is perfect.

Part of the problem is people are willing to work in the factories for 8.50 if you ask me. They need us just as much as we need them, I say we ALL refuse to work for less than 10.00 an hour. Who can provide for a family on any less than that anyways? Don't fall for the bait and try to "work your way up". Settle for no less than a decent wage. Bet it won't happen.....I wonder why that is? Hm.... Well to quote you:

And here is the mentality of many in the suburbs (including some of those that come from the city):

"Well we in the suburbs understand love already. We just know love for our brothers and sisters. The rif-raff in the city does not fit into our equations."

Rinse and repeat. How is that working out? I assure you that killing the poor is the wrong answer, maybe you should find a better person to listen to? It's not that the answer hasn't been given, it's that many of us have not accepted the answer as being true. Many do not like the real answers, because we have all fallen at some point.

I never knew anyone in the streets that actually UNDERSTOOD what Jesus taught as the Church teaches it. By the time they *understand* they often find themselves no longer in the streets. Their beliefs are based on opinion not dogma. I am talking about the basics here.

Pay people to read and understand the Gospel or don't pretend to care. Sad to say I could say that to many in the Church today, and they would somehow miss the insanely simple logic behind it.

Yes, you are right about that people do not understand what a Satanist is. They worship themselves and material possessions - not Satan. In fact many of them believe Satan is not real. Some actively worship the Evil One but that's just weird. I doubt it is the norm in Satanism (unless they are just stupid, but it seems they are smart enough to spread like a virus).

Many who are acting like satanists do not know that is what they are acting like.

However, I think that paying people to learn of the Bible is the most horrid thing I have ever heard. People find God in their own way, paying for someone's love is prostitution.

Living according to the teachings of Christ is a noble and worthwhile endeavor. "love all men" are by far the greatest (and truest) words that have ever been recorded in my opinion.

That being said, there is plenty of evidence in the Bible that simply proves that "we are not our brother's keeper". There were laws for slaves, laws for slave owners, and laws governing the interactions between the two. "God helps those who help themselves" are probably the second greatest words recorded.

Eph. 4:28. Let him who steals steal no longer; but rather let him labor, performing with his own hands what is good, in order that he may have something to share with him who has need.

Well, with the exception of the last crusades the Crusades were just to my knowledge. Getting off topic, but thousands of Christians were being slaughtered on pilgrimage (actually, it might have been millions but I can't remember now so let's go with thousands).

Back on topic - Jesus is the New Covenant. In the old times, many many things were different and the Old Covenant Law was the Law.

The reasons for slavery can be found in Genesis not to mention other parts of the Bible. If you take it literal...idk what to tell you. It is just not always literal, and much of the OT only applied to civilizations that lived before the Resurrection of the Lord.

Much of the OT does not apply since about 2000 years ago. Notice how I say much, because much of the OT does still apply.

Anyways, ever since Jesus walked the Earth "Do unto others as you would have others do unto you". There is, and never has been, anything greater than Love because God is Love. Love is of God.
