It speaks to the gullibility and/or sad state of many people that they have been able to get away with this nonsense for half a century and more - ruining lives, ripping people off.
It is not hat it is vastly different to any other religion - except that it has probably occurred in the lifetime of some people on here - not quite mine - but only by a few years - it is not some thousand(s of) year(s) old religion with arcane "mysteries", or even a 2-3-400 year old secret society with poncy handshakes and silly vestments - it actually used electrical measuring equipment as part of its mythology right from the start!
Hopefully the start of the end for them - and good riddance.
Sadly I am pretty certain some other quake or fakir will fill in the gap
