It is not rape because it's consensual. But western women are not bound to religious dogma so there is no immorality on their part. Morality is relative and not universal.

But.... from a non-religious point of view.... what about those bar pick ups and one night stands? Or is it an urban legend with no basis in reality?

Oh it's very real brother. Sexual freedom in the west is the greatest thing since sliced bread. Maybe I'm not understanding your question. It makes men raise the bar to qualify themselves to women instead of being a slacker. If you want sex, you have to prove your worth. It's not about walking in to a club and walking home with a prize. It takes polishing, it takes smooth talking, it requires the best grooming. Just look to nature for the answer. And even then, most men go home empty handed. But after they cry in their beer, they take note at what needs to be improved. This is what makes a man a man.

We're not talking about Christians. But seeing you brought it up, let me clear up something for you. Any Christian religious man who says they wouldn't want to sleep with an attractive women of their choice is a either A) a liar or B) in denial or C) resists the urge of temptation. You tell me which one. If none of those were the case then there wouldn't be rape in the first place. Think about it.

And all married women (are forbidden unto you) save those (captives) whom your right hands possess. It is a decree of Allah for you. Lawful unto you are all beyond those mentioned, so that ye seek them with your wealth in honest wedlock, not debauchery. And those of whom ye seek content (by marrying them), give unto them their portions as a duty. And there is no sin for you in what ye do by mutual agreement after the duty (hath been done). Lo! Allah is ever Knower, Wise.

Koran 4:24

The term "whom your right hands possess" is explained in the following Hadith

Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (Allah be pleased with him) reported that Allah's Apostle (may peace be upon him) sent a small army. ... ...They took captives (women) on the day of Autas who had their husbands. They were afraid (to have sexual intercourse with them) when this verse was revealed:" And women already married except those whom you right hands posses"

Hadith Muslim 8:3433
