Hi folks!

I need help to test a website I finished just a few days ago. It's a start-up I did with two friends. I'm the sole programmer in fact, so any error I should be able to fix right away. Also I would love any input or criticism you may wish to address me/us.

The URL is: www.pergunter.com...

The concept is simple, you can ask questions about or using images and videos.

Also for those who have an iPhone, there is an app available at the apple store for free that also needs some testing: itunes.apple.com...

I don't know if I can really ask here for people that may know how to hack a website to try to, also as a test (I can't afford a pentest). Let's say you are allowed to try until January 5th 2013…

I appreciate any help and/or input from you!

Thanks a lot!

Patifier (I use the same user on the website so you may add/write me or use the contact form)

Almost forgot: If you are an Android developer, we need help to code the mobile version. There is a budget for this but I don't have a developer. All webservices and design are already made and documented, so you will have very little work to do. If anyone is interested please PM me.

One thing I noticed is a lot of the functionality doesn't work with _javascript turned off. I'm of the opinion that sites should always have an alternate method of making things work for those users, as they represent a larger percentage of the browsing population than you might think. Some things that don't work without JS:

- "Load more updates" button on main page
- "Sign up with Facebook" button
- "Sign up with Twitter" button
- "Continue" button on the create account page
- Video content

Also, you seem to be using jQuery for a lot of things you can use CSS for, such as the image hover effects. My general rule of thumb is to use CSS for as much as you can, and use jQuery only for the things CSS can't do.

Thanks Koala!

I will try to change things to rely a little less on js! I was thinking specially in the ask form that is vital to the site. You're right. Thank you very much!

Also, I don't check user emails. I really don't intend to use them for anything outside the website (as I as a user don't like to), thinking about that, if someone chooses to login using an anonymous service, maybe _javascript won't work. So for signup, log in, asking questions and answering, I'll try to come with a solution.

I really wish people will post questions about controversial issues and we will not abide to any pressure from governments and organizations. We're in Brazil and we have legal counseling for free and people to help if anything arises. I just have to be aware that users won't post child pornography, racial/gender abuses, incite prostitution and drug use.
