I still don't get why the same people bashing it are defending it.
But since teen pregnancy is down it must be becuse of the show and not birth control in almost every purse and plan b at every pharmacy.

This show is Right Wing Breeding Propaganda.
Any way they can get more white babies - that's what they want.
Who else watches MTV except white girls of dubious intelligence?

My teenager daughter watches the show. She sees these mothers having to give up their lives as a kid and struggle with problems they are not ready for. The other ones that dump off their kids to party she sees as loser d bags. And she has also noticed most of the baby daddies don't stick around. I think the show does let the kids know it's not worth it. She understands most of America doesn't get on these shows and the people that do are usually very stupid morally lax people. Don't discount the intelligence of most teenagers. Not all of them are hypnostised idiots.

“Jenelle gets paid $75,000 a season and her mom gets paid $65,000: she calls her an overpaid babysitter,” a source says of the unemployed star.
As for Leah Messer, who recently married Jeremy Calvert, a source says she "believes she could make $100,000 just from her wedding,” and "makes the most of all the girls in Teen Mom 2 because she held out the longest on her contract.”
As for some of the earlier Teen Mom stars, Maci Bookout, who was in school at the time of the show, "was able to buy a house with her profits,” the source said. One sticking point among the cast? “The teen dads make a lot of money … the Teen Moms think it’s ridiculous because they don’t have to film nearly as much or do as much work,” the insider said. Or parent, in most cases.
