When I first heard about TESO I got really excited, mainly by the fact that we were promised a full tamriel map (meaning including provinces like High
Rock and Summerset Is. which were not included in the previous "2nd. Gen" TES games, or their expansions. They were present, although vaguely on
earlier installments)
On the other hand I'm weary of MMO versions of Singleplayer franchises... But that's just a subjective feeling.
And the thing I'm really not sure I lke (and by that I mean I don't) is the pseudo-lore they are making up...
Even if it's never considered canon, it would certainly break MY inmersion. (Again, subjective)
Fact is, the thing I like the most about TES games is the feeling of exploration and discovery of a palpable world with it's own history, ideologies,
cultures, etc... Even if I'm not a "lore-buff" it is a quite important part of my gameplay.
So I always expect certain consistency in the lore, which excepting certain specific retcons (Like the White Tower raising above a big fat lush
JUNGL.. err.. medieval european forest...), was always respected.
I don't know if I'll be playing it, it depends on the pricing it gets, I have not a big income of green-ore this days...
But I will definitely keep an eye on it. And another on my old stained copy of "The Lusty Argonian Maid"...
