The Elder Scrolls Online

I love the Elder scroll series of games and am still playing skyrim and until today I had not heard of TESO but now I have and seen some footage I'm getting giddy and I for one can not wait.

Here some stuff about it



PvP looks amazing and one thing that really caught my eye is no shards just one big mega server
Early next year..can't wait

The ATS clan has to be uber paranoid and we will make up "Star people" who come and take us in the night

Hahaha yep and we definitely have to be Vampires who hate the sun.

Some how I expect this to fail to meet my expectations horribly.

However it'd be awesome if it met 10% of them, I won't hold my breath this time, I will keep an eye on it though.

Urgh..

Tough sell.

I don't know how well it will translate in MMO. You can show me all the clsoed beta and footage you want, but until I'm playing with 1 million + players I can't tell what the outcome will be.

Draw distance and UI problems are more than likely.

Hm.. that video is interesting. No shards eh?

Players beware.

Also, I'm fairly sure the combat system will be nothing like that of the elder scrolls and will be attacks on timers like most mmos

as for mega server

does this just mean its mostly just instances no true living breathing world?

IDK mmos just suck these days.

Looked like pretty much the same as Skyrim to me but time will tell.
I have played quite a few MORPGS and I have not liked any of them, dunno why this one may just be the one I have been waiting for.
I think you can just wander about so it is a massive world...gonna have to be if a million people are playing at once lol.

No cooldowns on powers

So the ATS clan is that guy from Skyrim. You know, the one in Whiterun always yelling at the tree.

It is games like this that really make me regret not getting a gaming laptop instead of xbox when I could afford it... Was looking at the prices of gaming pc's today and it would take me 5 years to save for a decent one, ah well will just have to stick to playing call of sh*tty for now lol

But I have never played on online game like that-
Maybe I could import my character to the environment; starting over with a new guy, the humans would destroy me.

I have an Asus Gamers Republic lappy, was about $1,400, not badly priced, and its an amazing laptop

lvl 50.. and ..

you'll get end game content ..

till .. then .. it's a WoW/Rift/WHO/standard grind to the top..

OMG we have something to live for! YEAH!

On the ATS Team - these are the roles I prefer to fill :

(I'm female so I don't have all those aggressive male testosterone hormones to get me befuddled. )

Stealth/Archer in dungeons. Crackshot - never miss.

Sword and Shield Melee/Healer in city or wilderness.

I play more aggressive in open wilderness; combining archery for targets at a distance but, still sword and shield melee with a hard charge and a load of stamina loss for close-ups.

Nord
Breton if I'm focusing mostly on healer.

I prefer crafting more than anything else; so, you can plunk me at a forge and anvil and I'll be happy.

The video said they'll have ALL the locations - I presume that means Daggerfall's, Morrowind's, Oblivion's and Skyrim's and all the expansion pack's locations too. That is WILD!

yeah, I'm looking forward to this it will be fun, we need to get a teamspeak channel setup now

ETA: with all the players that love TES since arena and Daggerfall, I see this as being a SERIOUS THREAT to WoW
Then again, most wow players are young, and i see TESO being played by more middle aged folk...
The only thing I worry about will this be a raid-rinse-repeat thing like wow and other MMOs, then it could possibly get very boring...thats what killed it for me in other MMOs

Early next year
Did you watch the second vid I posted, the matchmaker looks amazing when you start a game you will be asked questions like Do you Roleplay? do you prefer PvP or Pve? whats your age? and it will find you like minded players.
Boy I can't wait I just hope my pc can run it.
