Star Wars Episode VII is a go, whether you like it or not. So where should Disney go with it?

I'll source it in a minute... but I was just passing through a news site and they've announced that JJ Abrams has turned down directing the new movie.

Just as well. I like JJ's work. But I just can't see him doing Star Wars for some reason. Though he did an incredible job on Battlestar Galactica, and a few others.

Pity. Abrams would have bought something good to the table I reckon.

Even Kathleen Kennedy would be good as a director, but it's the kid angle that Disney would no doubt put on the movies that would make it hard for directors of that calibre to bring something grown up to the table.
