Have you ever noticed the mocking of men on msm?
Take adverts... The man is always the comedy fall guy whilst the woman is ever the saviour..
They have made manhood into a joke.. Men, who do not hold their mahood cheap into anachronistic characertures..
Male bonding is met with rolling eyes.. Friendships are now "bromances" implying homosexuality..
They use terms like machismo as if it is somehow wrong to be manly anymore..
Screw that..
I am man... Deal with it or deal with my fist... I am aggressive when I need to be.. Strong in the dark places.. Have a sense of humour even when bullets are flying around.. Can march for days.. Can survive and HAVE survived in tbe harshest environments on the planet.. My character therefore will NEVER let this society emasculate me and be a good boy...

Not rage.. Just making a point.. Funny how some can read between the line of what you are saying and missinterpret it due to the fact that text does not convey body language..
Even though my statement seemed laughable..
At the very core of me.. This is who I am..
Laugh away soldier..
But if the shtf.. Who would you want beside you? .. Who would you want watching your back??
Dave from accounts? The fax machine operator??
Or me?

I think a true man is someone who has conquered over his own demons if not the devil at large. Treading evil under is feet, and having overcome the world, both for himself and on behalf of his fellow man, he marches fourth with his head held high, fearless, aware, even charming, into the unknown and the creative space of novelty, leaving lessor men behind who are unfit to walk the path of goodness and righteousness for the sake of a love that conquers over all.

See, you are trying to make this about you being a bad ass BECAUSE you are a man, and what you don't see is that the one characteristic you think makes you special is the ONE THING that ties 50% of this population together. Being male.
Once more unto the breach, dear friends, once more;
Or close the wall up with our English dead.
In peace there's nothing so becomes a man
As modest stillness and humility:
But when the blast of war blows in our ears,
Then imitate the action of the tiger;
Stiffen the sinews, summon up the blood,
Disguise fair nature with hard-favour'd rage;
Then lend the eye a terrible aspect;
Let pry through the portage of the head
Like the brass cannon; let the brow o'erwhelm it
As fearfully as doth a galled rock
O'erhang and jutty his confounded base,
Swill'd with the wild and wasteful ocean.
Now set the teeth and stretch the nostril wide,
Hold hard the breath and bend up every spirit
To his full height. On, on, you noblest English.
Whose blood is fet from fathers of war-proof!
Fathers that, like so many Alexanders,
Have in these parts from morn till even fought
And sheathed their swords for lack of argument:
Dishonour not your mothers; now attest
That those whom you call'd fathers did beget you.
Be copy now to men of grosser blood,
And teach them how to war. And you, good yeoman,
Whose limbs were made in England, show us here
The mettle of your pasture; let us swear
That you are worth your breeding; which I doubt not;
For there is none of you so mean and base,
That hath not noble lustre in your eyes.
I see you stand like greyhounds in the slips,
Straining upon the start. The game's afoot:
Follow your spirit, and upon this charge
Cry 'God for Harry, England, and Saint George!'

No... It does not make me special.. It makes me complete.. Spirtually.. As a man..
One who has not been gelded by society..

Could not the same be said for women?
If not, why? If so, does this mean we are speaking about the HUMAN condition, not a gender condition?

True, but there's something about the sins of the father which have sown the seeds of human evil, that only a man must face down, and take responsibility for as the end of the cycle, it's a strange paradox, and it's something that women are needed for also, but at the same time do not bear the same burden of responsibility for. Men have screwed everything up and men must fix it. It's our duty to make right the wrongs, and sow seeds of love in place of hatred and strife. It's a different kind of chest-beating warrior because this man is a Civilized man, never reckless, never harmful.
I am reminded of the image in the book of Revelation, with the man on the white horse (representing power and purity) who comes "conquering and to conquer" and who's every arrow flies straight to its mark.
This sums it up for me also. Again my last name once Rys is Welch in origin and it means "to charge in with valor", so this below sums it up for me as well.

Men, if you want to punch trees, then punch the crap out of them! Men, if you want to bake cookies all day and gossip with your friends, do it! Don't fear what you are! Be whatever it is you want!

Nobody is TRULY good.. There is nothing wrong with trying to be.. I try to be most of the time.. But I am also prone to fail at that too.. Sometimes spectaculary.. Its my nature to be kind, giving, and if I love you I love with everything I am..
However.. I am a soldier.. I have soldiers ways.. So the love I have to give for my fellow man is one of loyal defense with my life.. And from experience.. That is not pretty..

And I can say from experience that that breach is a terrifying place where enemies do indeed lie in wait. I therefore praise the holy name of Jesus Christ that one greater than I went before me and without whom I would have accomplished nothing.
