Where is the safest place on Earth when TSHTF?

Where would you go if you had the means and why?

personally I think I would head to Peru, Maccu Pichu. I don't know why, but sometimes the images appear when I go to sleep and it feels Like I am being sent there.

Punch in 'safest places' in the search section and there are numerous threads.
Personally I like the Himalayas range or Andes caves, but getting there is another story.
Locally Colorado comes to mind.

ETA: Skeptic Overlord's house, surely it is secured and insulated with tin foil.

The high plateaus of mid Africa.. High altitude and very far inland.. Im talking mega tsunamis

That would depend on what TSHTF situation actually was. Worldwide tsunami? High ground. Mega earthquake? The flatlands. Nuclear armageddon or massive world cremating solar event? Deep in the underground bunker. New Ice Age? Someplace with lots of wood for heat. Christian Apocalypse? Go to church. New Age takeover? Pull covers over head and go back to sleep til it's over. Hostile alien invasion? To the front lines, loaded for bear!

In the mountains outside any major city. I like the woods but I need the option to go scavenge the outskirts. I shall be known as the thunder in the hills

I live in what I consider to be one of the safest places (not saying the safest) It is well off the beaten track, not close to any transport links, defendable, difficult to see from above, has its own sustainable food/water/energy resources, and for obvious reasons I am not going to broadcast its location all over the internet.

ATS headquarters. The paranoid must have the safest place.

Yeah, when I allow myself to ponder such an unlikely event, I too think of that same place. Because one, it is so beautiful and green and two because there are so many areas out there that have yet to be discovered so I could go hang out there. Lots of abandoned temples peaking out from the top of the forests that no one can get to. I would head towards there and settle down.

As far away from urban, and densely populated areas as you can get, with enough tools and supplies to be self sustainable for as long as possible.

Also, if you are in a densely populated urban area, developing, testing, practicing and improving a quick escape plan is highly suggested.

If it's the War of Northern Aggression, any place but America, unless the West Coast.

If it's WW II, then any place in America (except Pearl Harbor), not Europe, not Japan.

If it's the K/T asteroid (that's Cretaceous/Tertiary Boundry), deep undergound with yer own O2.

If it's race riots from the inner cities, far away from those idiots.

Kind of depends.
