I take this is in America? Ive not heard of here in oz. Dreading my two girls going to highschool. Little girls and boys should stay little girls and boys while they can. imho

growing up in the UK its the same the story with kids wearing the bracelets though i dont think that the kids actually do what the bracelets mean (if that makes sense) Instead a lot wear them for decoration and style.

In primary school though everybody knew about sex before the age of 9 just off the playground from friends (not to mention the videos and books you are given about from teachers). Its becoming far more common for underage sex in school i'd say and its this isn't going to cease any time soon.

its pretty scary how young children are being sexualized so fast today, bracelets or no bracelets.

there are many reasons why ..one is the very medium we use to communicate. with all of its wonders and freedom of information, theres also an unlimited ammount of pure sex available to anyone who can point and click a mouse. The internet is another toy now for the next generation, and we are all encouraging them to use it. The net is the perfect delievery mechanism for porn (which as another post on this board shows may very well be as dangerous as hard drugs). Then theres all the sex ed in schools, not just in America but in most western nations now. Either as a form of population control (teach them young about sex and birth control to stamp out teen pregnancy) or as a means to stop aids (teach them about safe sex to prevent aids) its the same end result when the sex ed, net, MTV, movies and advertising and media is all combined its a continual bombardment of SEX SEX SEX. No wonder young kids see it as more acceptable now. thats the main thing there has always been a small % of the population of youngsters who have grown up sexually active at an earlier age, the difference is now that the "world" is condoning it more. morals are slipping damn fast. 50 yrs ago if a 16 yr old had sex or got pregnant and the family found out there would be a higher consequence than there is today. i am not condoning the way young women have been treated in the past due to a sexual mistake , but no sane person can deny the truth in what im posting, sex is seen as more acceptable today, even perverse sex that goes against nature is seen as more acceptable (both homosexual and heterosexual) today. it also seems to be a much harder thing today for young people to resist the peer pressure. maybe im wrong but theres alot more pressure today on our youth.

most parents on this board and people over 30 will know how it goes with all the bull and peer presure. teens always saying they have done this to that person (guys and girls bragging of their sex lives) and the moral being that most of the time its pure lies , they never had half as much sex and they spoke cr@p to act the "man" or the "girl." Now that may have been true in the past, the problem we are facing today is that the teenagers and young people dont have to lie, they are doing it.

anyone see that Oprah episode ages ago about oral sex in America amongst teens?? teens saying "well if the president can do it whats so bad about it??" maybe it was sensationalism by the Oprah people but they put it across that oral sex was now as common as kissing and holding hands .


its heavy stuff. sex is created for a purpose and to be shared amongst commited MATURE ADULTS in a long term relationship..and when i say long term i mean the longest term....the one that ends when you die!!! Forget about the religious aspect to this thread for a minute , just think how much baggage, inner shame and guilt todays teens will carry with them into their adult lives. everytime anyone has sex with anyone else they are sharing themselves with that person. if it doesnt work out they loose a part of themselves, they get hurt, they carry baggage.

i pray for every parent on this board because raising a child today must be a continual battle.

ROFL, this reminds me of the GTA issue. Stop making other people raise your kids! You know who you start to complain to after the schools? Huh? The Police! You start calling the police and asking them about keeping your kids off the street.

Sex is the last thing you need to worry about if your kid has a state of mind which makes him think that hes going to get sex if he plays a game with a girl in grade school. Just like if your kid plays a game and now thinks its ok, the norm, to go out and open fire on people with rifle....
