I believe you will profit from looking into the prophet Bob Dobbs. Though his revelations are a bit more convoluted, the general idea of "slack"
came to "mind" immediately. One must be careful (more-or-less) to not confuse "slack" with that which one should always cut for an other.

Your actually correct saying there is no darkeness. The wave front of light is a volume sphere. We humans see the rainbow colours of the light spectrum. There is of course is the light frequencies in the visible spectrum. If we could see the full spectrum we would see there is no darkness. Darkness is the human illusion which allows use to truely relax in sleep. Try sleeping under a bright lamp. A human life moves towards darkness to escape the intensity of the light. When a human dies thats a mystery in itself as to what happens to the light within.
Everything that exists, whether we are aware of it or not, if we zoom out enough, all of it is (white) light. The universe is just light, when you zoom out you realize that there is really no darkness but all of the light of the stars add up and it clusters together, even this so-called "darkness" is light that we cannot see (like infrared).
