No I do not. I, like most folks equiped with a brain, understand that the daughter of the President of the United States of America is a target for Terrorists and Wackos. I also understand a father who is worth Millions or Billions might have special concerns for his children. Kid-Napping...ever heard of it?

All children are common victims, whether their parents are "wealthy" or not. Poor people's children are kidnapped too, ever heard of that?

No. I have never heard of any "poor people's children" being kidnapped for political influence or ransom. Could you offer up a few stories? I am genuinely interested because it goes so far against the grain of popular conception of what political crime is and isn't and why it is effective.

Thanks!

All schools should have more security. I would even volunteer my own time to act as school security, except that if I just show up at schools like that I'd be arrested. Our wicked society does not reward the good guys!

I would call the police if I worked at a school and some random guy "showed up" saying he was there to protect the children. Are schools just supposed to take your word for it that you are a good guy?

That's not why the armed guards are there. The school has armed protection and it will after the Obama children are gone. You see the elite will always have what you are not entitled to have. We fought a war once over the inequalities of royalty vs. the "common man."

So in your humble estimation do "they" deserve more than the rest of us?

I didn't say they were kidnapped for ransom, I said they were kidnapped. Usually they are raped and murdered, since you must know.

Even if I just patrolled the block without asking anyone's permission (which would not be illegal, btw) I would be harassed just by virtue of my repeated presence. Protecting the Earth and children is everyone's responsibility, it's a shame everyone feels like that job belongs to somebody else, the police for instance.

Yes you would be harassed as lone men loitering outside schools are suspicious.. you can call it "patrolled" if you like but if I were a school official I would probably see it as stalking behaviour and therefore threatening the welfare of children under my care. Doing it without premission would be even more creepy.

Those in Control, wanting more gun control, have private armies protecting them, and their families.

"I am consistently on record and will continue to be on record as opposing concealed carry." ~ Obama

"I am not in favor of concealed weapons. I think that creates a potential atmosphere where more innocent people could (get shot during) altercations." `Obama

I wonder if these "Guards" carry openly?

S&F

They are identified by their uniforms as armed guards. I feel handguns should be banned except for security guards, police and military. You want to overthrow a corrupt government, you will need a rifle for that, you need to oppose an invasion, again you need a rifle. You want to protect your home? Have your rifle loaded with low velocity ammo when scenario one or two isnt happening.

If you want to rob a bank or something, is when you need a concealed weapon.

Unfortunately the government is going to ban the weapon that lowlifes (whom they themselves are protected from) pull on unsuspecting sheeple, while going against those arms that can challenge their monopoly of power, if a conflict should be resolved in violence.

I'm sorry, how many poor people's children are kidnapped from schools, raped, and then murdered annually? You have MUCH more knowledge on this subject than I do, and I am interested in hearing what you have to teach! Thank you.

Why do you want to draw this line that divides the rich and poor children? What I've said is that children are victims because they are children, not because their parents do or do not have money.

Seriously? You do not see anything inappropriate about a lone man "patrolling" around the grounds of a school? ..and lets not mince words. You do not mean city block.. you mean school block. If you were just advocating walking around a city block you wouldn't be trying to convince us that you should have a right to patrol a school specifically to protect children that are not even in your care.

If I were a school teacher or headmaster and saw a guy creeping around a school I'd call the police. You can claim you're doing security but so could anyone who is there to kidnap a child.

Yeah, trailer parks. We aren't talking about trailer parks. I was specific because you were specific. What are the numbers on the "poor people's children" that get kidnapped FROM SCHOOLS. This is the point. You are the one talking about "poor people's children" this is why I am quoting it. It is YOUR name for them. I'm just curious as to whether you have actual information, or if you are just ranting et hyperbole .

How many children have been kidnapped from Sidwell Friends? How many held for ransom? How many school shootings at Sidwell Friends?

My guess is zero. Have you seen their security? Political kidnappings happen in places that are NOT well secured.

No guards: teachers do their job.
Guards: teachers can't do their job.

No guards: fight breaks out, teachers run to the scene to help.
Guards: fight breaks out, guards run to the scene to do their "job". Now we should all know how a guard handles the situation compared to a teacher. Just my thoughts.

But you know, it's not just the school the Obama's daughters attend that has armed guards - many Congressmen, business leaders and just rich people send the kids to these schools because they're safe. Do you not see the hypocrisy that their kids are more valuable than yours? Don't let anyone tell you that armed guards cannot keep a school safe. They don't even have to be openly armed and look like stormtroopers.
We're all entitled to safe schools, if it takes armed guards to keep their kids safe ours are worth it just as much.

The school, Sidwell Friends School in Washington, DC, has 11 security officers and is seeking to hire a new police officer as we speak. If you dismiss this by saying, "Of course they have armed guards -- they get Secret Service protection," then you've missed the larger point. The larger point is that this is standard operating procedure for the school, perio

You are quite right and It's funny how we have to pay to protect their kids meanwhile these representatives can all go suck an egg! None of em give a dam about the 99%, then if we decide to keep our kids home or say we go to their school armed to protect them, then God help us! We will be in jail and our families will be on the street! When will we wake up to see the truth lies in Uniting the states as they were intended to be in a peaceful march on the policy makers in our cities, states and federal representatives, to impeach them, their lobbying groups, secret agencies, judges, military and police brass and all the corruption the powers that be uses to keep us down and them up! Sorry for ranting! I realize this will never happen but I can dream can't I!

I thought demanding the same for the poor that the rich have was supposed to be socialism

Are we supposed to pay higher taxes for poor kids to be protected in school but not for them to have healthcare? Guess we'll just protect them from guns and not disease

This I thought was really simple... The armed guards are paid for by parents paying tuition. I don't think anyone arts rich kids at better. They just get more because their parents pay for their education. If you want to get more out of your Childs education, send them to private school. Along with all those armed guards , you get top notch teachers, better resources, and a clearer path for your child going to a better university.

I've never once seen Obama on TV saying he's against armed trained guards. But when you have the right not wanting more Pennies for a teachers education, you expect funding for guards at public schools?

It's just like healthcare. You get what you pay for.

we aren't paying for this. Just like at my private school when I was a kid, the parents of the students who go there party for everything. Not one of your Pennies go towards that school.
