Free will is the ability to choose. Free will means taking a decision. Going down one path instead of another, taking one out of serveral options.

When you excerce your free will you will be influencing others to also take decisions because by excercing your will you have made a change to their energetic field.

Beings in our density won’t able to resist long to any changes in their energetic field and will come to the point where they cross the border from potentialities to experience or if you whish from space/time to time/space by taking their decision on a certain issue in the stream of events.

So free will is limited in that sense that we are only able to resist for so long to take a decision upon changes of our energetic field and therefore will have to express our will at some point. And if we haven’t made up your mind and heart about that issue we may take on somebody else’s will as a replacement.

Free will may then occur in the range of potentialities, some of them quite conscious ideas and visions of our self, some of them more and more influenced by others, some in the service of self, some in the service of others and some of them hidden in the subconscious, only ready to come out and take over spontaneously when the situation requires it.

Because the subconscious is part of your Higher Self and all our options are being recognized by the Higher Self, even the unconscious descisions that we take are part of your Higher Free Will. Therefore there is no right or wrong. There are no mistakes. Only lessons to be learned, experience to be gained in order to grow spiritually.

Does that make sense to you?

Well said, and from a different perspective one could even say free will is an illusion. We have no choice over anything other than where we place our focus. If we focus on something, we will begin moving down that path, but one must stay focused. Bumps will be encountered, but a sharp mind will remember that it is only the will of the higher power, and one can snap back to staying focused.

To get hung up on the highs and lows is what happens untill one learns their lesson and may move further. To stay focused on the goal, the light at the end of the tunnel, over the course of time one will arrive there.

The belief is that there are separate people choosing what they want. When really the whole thing is happening as one movement.
Imagine the ocean with waves on the surface, each wave imagines that it can choose and that it is doing the waving. The wave does not realize that it is not doing the waving (or choosing), the ocean is doing it all.
One day the wave will get tired stuggling and fall back into the ocean and it will realize.

Here's a thought.

We are all only a series of biochemical reactions that must follow the laws of chemistry and physics at a molecular level. So how can anything be free will? Everything is just one ongoing complex chemical reaction. Reaction means no free will exists.

To see it as a movement is an amazing understanding.

Yes it does. Reminds me of water trough flow system feeding a water wheel to drive a turbines. The heavyiness of the field is the water level in the tank which feeds the flow system. The turning wheel is the decision. The effect is something happening or work generated in the turbine.

But then what about these moments where time seems to stand still and waiting for me to choose between different options? Aren't these moments of free will, oasis in the stream of life which, I agree, is made up to the bigger part, it seems to me, of reactions to ... to what? Chemical reactions or free will decisions of others or of our unified (higher) self, the Creator which lead to chemical reactions? Is the body reacting to the bodily manifestations of these decisions e.g. the chemical aspect and our consiousness to the subtle or spiritual part of it? Simultaneously or delayed?

It just doesn't seem right to me to be of the strong opinion that consciousness above molecules and chemical reactions shouldn't be able to exist and unify into thought complexes, which could be able to control matter in such a way that we end up as mind/body/spirit-complexes.

Thanks for that metaphor. It reminded me of the Wheel of Fortune from the Major Aracana of the Tarot (X).

No, it's a cop-out.
Of course there is right and wrong. For example, regardless of whether or not your subconsciousness wants to rape a little child, it's still a wrong. What you refuse to recognise in your argument is this inherent love of pleasure and wickedness that lives within the subconscious of many. What you are arguing is that since these types of thoughts exist within the subconscious, and because this subconscious is part of your "Higher Self", that there is therefore no right and wrong. What you are doing is justifying your "free will choices", making excuses for all sorts of desires in your heart and mind. Well, if that desire is to secretly have sex with four year olds you've just given yourself permission, haven't you? To hell with my kids and their safety, because you've decided on a philosophy that states it's not a "wrong", it's not a "mistake" and only a "lesson to be learned". You sir have sucked in the lie of the serpent.

All a man’s ways seem innocent to him,
but motives are weighed by the Lord.

The highway of the upright avoids evil;
he who guards his way guards his life.

There is a way that seems right to a man,
but in the end it leads to death
. Psalm 16:2,17,25

What's more attractive to those who want a life of freedom to do as they please, the devil who says that you can be godlike defining your own good and evil or your True Creator who says that there IS inherent good which only leads to life and inherent evil which always leads to death? Do you choose to be your own god and creator or do you choose the real true God and Creator?

Jesus said that the world must learn that he did everything that the Father commanded him....that he obeyed. It's why one of the first things that happens when He grants belief is that the world's philosophies and beliefs are shown for the falsehood that they are and why the mind is brought into obedience to what He has defined. These falsehoods such as you present as truth are shown to be nothing more than rationalisation and justification for doing evil. Why? When man redefines an evil as good, he feels no qualms for participating in the redefined behaviour. This is why the ungodly we're destroyed last time - a world continually doing evil from Heaven's perspective but doing what they thought was "right".

There is a way that seems right to a man,
but in the end it leads to death
.

Man does NOT want to believe Him when the Holy Spirit wrote those words.

I thank you very much for bringing up this important point.

To rape a child is totally inacceptable. It is a violent infringement on the free will of others and in such a case done to a soul that is not capable of defending itself. A clear sign for the service-to-self path.
