In the spirit of the holidays and our never ending quest of the unknown, I offer a gift.
The man's name is Frank Turner, and although everyone in Europe knows who he is, very few have even heard his name here in the US. I'm convinced that
one day he'll hold a spot in our hearts right up there with the greatest lyrical geniuses of all time.
The song I'd like to share today is called "I Still Believe"
My favorite part is the interlude...
"And I still believe... in the saints...
Yeah in Jerry Lee, and in Johnny, and all the greats.
And I still believe... in the sound...
That has the power to raise a temple and tear it down.
And I still believe... in the NEED...
For guitars, and drums, and in desperate poetry.
And I still believe... that everyone...
Can find a song for every time they've lost, and every time they've won.
So folks remember we're not just saving lives, we're saving souls...
And we're having fun."
Enjoy!
