Genetically modifying plants and animals is not the same thing as selective breeding to enhance a desired quality. It is blasting genes or chemicals straight into the DNA of the of the seed or embryo. I think it is you who needs to become informed. Go ahead and ask some farmers who refused to plant GMO crops if it's harmless. Go ahead and ask a farmer who went ahead and planted GMO crops years ago, ask them how their soil is doing ask them about the new pests that have developed, ask them if it's truly drought and pest resistant... ask them if they regret it but are now stuck in a vicious cycle.
