I haven't monitored enough threads recently to know.
My rough periodic scanning of the RECENT POSTS would indicate YES. That's true.
Certainly when I was more frequently involved, IT WAS DEFINITELY TRUE.
I dealt with it as best I could on the threads. That was a lost cause. It was usually dogpile with even some mods joining in against me or some other
I tried dealing with it with the mods behind the scenes. That got nowhere, too.
I tried dealing with it with the upper level folks. That got nowhere, too.
The perception is that there's no bias and no extra hostility against Christians when the tone, language, even merely the titles indicates otherwise
and very seriously otherwise.
I've often wished I had the money to hire some atheist communications specialists to take a random 10-12 thread and analyze them for such wayyyyy
lopsided hostility and bias. Alas, I have too many other priorities for my meager income.
However, we should not be surprised. Christ Himself warned us this would be the status quo in the world.
And, all the more so in these END TIMES.
I think at times, it ebbs and flows. Sometimes some new move in enforcing the civility of the site will reach even the ANTI-CHRISTIAN threads. I've
never seen such a stance last very long.
I hope I'm wrong. I hope the civility value of ATS has reached even the anti-Christian threads.
Alas, I'm so disgusted with sooooooooooo many months and years of the opposite, I just pulled back from ATS a lot and don't post that much any more.
It just was no longer worth it to
ALWAYS have to deal with a rabidly hostile, harsh and personally assaultive stance and tone from the other side.
I tried dialogue with the very few Christian mods. Evidently that's against the rules for the mods.
It has been said that the mods are populated somewhat as ATS seems to be . . . more or less 85-95% nonChristians. Some of them used to have a rabidly
and very quickly evident fierce hostility to Christianity that would show up sooner or later on most any Christian oriented thread. I think THAT was
moderated somewhat as time went on. I don't know what the status of that phenomenon is currently.
I don't think there's a solution. I think the biases and perspectives on the other side are soooo intense . . .
THEIR NORMALCY BIAS is soooooooo lopsided
and they are soooooo convinced they are correct in their perceptions, values, decisions
there's nothing likely to change. It doesn't matter what "objective reality" is. Their mind is made up. Nothing will likely change.
I hope my reply above is dated by wonderful improvements. If so, please let me know. I'll be shocked.
