A source told Fox News earlier this week that since the Netwton school shooting, membership for the NRA has increased and is continuing to do so. An insider at the NRA said that based on his access to internal memos from the association's membership division, since the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting, the NRA has registered an average of 8,000 new members a day. The source also revealed that both the number of individual contributions to the NRA and their average amount have increased significantly since the school massacre.

Lets see if they sell us out for the "fudd" crowd like they did in the 90's.

NRA CEO is talking about getting armed security at our schools. Someone holding a sign saying "NRA IS KILLING OUR CHILDREN" just got escorted out.

The Code pink whackjobs showed up in protest and were escorted out.

Wayne handled it petty well.

I suppose that's a compromise to simply letting everyday carriers carry in the building.

Funny how guns in schools are bad unless theyre in the hands of "the only ones." You know, those highly trained supermen of 1-800-RentAcop or the stone cold stoic heroes in blue who send 120 bullets flying down a crowded street in order to stop a man with a cellphone.

Oh sh*t he went on the attack against video games and movies.......

Pointing fingers isn't the answer here.

Damn good point about what we protect- money and influential people.

Don't like the way he targets videos, music, and films. Makes it seems like shifting blame. But I see his point.

More protesters. Good sign that NRA didn't set this up by only allowing only its members in.

Could be alright if he's using media as a foundation for mental health issues and care.

If he's just looking for another scapegoat that wont look good.

He says a child sees 16,000 murders on television before the age of 18, thats an incredible amount. and if someone has a screw loose, that cant help

The NRA needs better speech writers and a better think tank to come up with messages that are clear concise and to the point.

I would have got someone younger and more articulate to give this speech, preferably a woman.

Just don't think he is making the connection he wants to.

He's trying but too monotone IMO.

He quickly addressed the mental health thing and then immediately started pointing out video games, movies, and music as being just as much to blame claiming that it's people living out fantasies of murder and even called it a form of porn.....

I wonder who opened the backdoor, and let two protestors in with big red signs, saying the NRA killed our kids.

I agree 100% that schools need much better security than what they currently have. Sounds like they already have the best people available to approach congress to get something started on this.

The best thing about this is that they are the only ones talking about what needs to be done ASAP to protect the kids and not what should be done or ban. Everyone knows Congress takes forever to pass a bill and even then, it takes time to implement.

And the biggest thing is that no gun bill is going to stop a psycho from going off. If people are serious about protecting our children then they should at least listen to the plan the NRA will offer.
