I am actually expecting a call from a person from the states tommorrow and I will be relaxing on a Saturday, they will still be at work, Friday so why is everyone saying it is doomsday a day before the actual date...?

Maybe I am just too stupid to understand the time differences?

It was apparently supposed to all kick off at 11:11am GMT. 1 hour and 57 minutes ago

I tried to explain this to my husband last night to no avail.

It doesn't really matter what day it is and where. The doomsday time was the same time for everyone on earth because it was the time of the winter solstice, which was about 2 hrs ago.

Its the 22nd here in Australia

oh yeah I know that but I just thought it was strange that in some parts of the world, it has only just clicked over to 21st so like it is really early am etc and I just figured it out that this 2012 buzz will go on for at least another 1.5 days. omg
