I don’t want to argue. You have your opinion I have mine.
I already said that even the bad unions do some good. That goes without saying that the good I see them do is weighed in my mind with the evil I see
I have come to the conclusion after 5 years here, and a lifetime of visiting that they do more harm than good.
There may be instances of great good, but compared to the repeated instances of great evil, I say they use one to mask the other.
That said, not all union people are bad. The goodies can’t be given to everyone.
What I find the single most identifying common thread between them all is their political ideology.
If you notice I have BARELY even touched communism in this thread, or any of my posts for the most part. I am vehemently against Marxist communism. I
CAN tolerate moderates of any ideology. ANY....
I only call them communists because that is what they are. If anything people have assumed I meant that as an insult by being always on the defensive
about the subject. I could talk about what I really think about communism, but that would make me seem rude since I couldn’t say very many positive
things about it.
When I say communist, I am simply referring to their self identifying ideology. They have no problem being called communists, hence the banners,
slogans, and what not. I imply nothing. I described what happened as honestly and accurately I could within my limited capacity that I can offer. I am
not confused about anything. I may not be skilled in articulating my ideas as well as I thought is all.
When I say people like this are as corrupt as wall street brokers it is because they seek to make permanent negative change to the country in
incremental builds that goes AGAINST the people. If anyone here on ATS has been seeing the pattern of social engineering our society suffers, and its
gradual incremental changes that go unnoticed they realize the truly malicious nature of it all.
Take for example the push for internet censorship and royalties. Here the small business is being extorted by royalties collection agencies as has
been done in all our countries. The source of this greed for charging the little guy for the simple act of having a little radio in a hair salon, or a
TV in a bar, or some music in a cafe does not come from the right wing "capitalists". No, it comes from he Extremists of either side of the spectrum
who support vast public expenditure with little oversight.
Here in Spain, S.G.A.E, is the entity in charge of collecting from EVERY small business for the mentioned acts of playing some FREE or already paid
for media like a TV you already pay for, or a radio that broadcasts freely, or music you already paid for, ect.....This extortion was thought up,
designed, and pushed for as well as ultimately implemented and administered by people who happen to hold Marxist communist ideologies.
The former president of SGAE, Teddy Bautista, was caught along with the leadership of SGAE embezzling HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS OF EUROS. That is space
program money. That is an astronomical amount of money to have the balls to steal. This guy, Teddy Bautista is a Marxist communist. He said that as he
was growing older he was leaning towards being an anarchist. Oh how progressive of him. The supposed defender of the people is WORSE than an outright
A-hole out to get his and only his.
You know what that money was stolen for, besides living like a sultan? To fund more lobbying and social engineering to change Spain into the communist
state they always wanted here.
Much of it is still unrecovered and no one knows exactly how much is missing. I have heard every where from at least 400 million euros, to 811
MILLION! This money stolen from the little guy in times of extreme need, lost. The culprits were not "big bad capitalists" It was an extremist
communist not content to simply believe what he thought best, but obsessed with the change of everyone possible by any means necessary to his ideology
and that of his little beady eyed friends.

Sociedad General de Autores y Editores (SGAE) is the main collecting society for songwriters, composers and music publishers in Spain. It is
similar to ASCAP. The composer and performer Teddy Bautista is the Chairman of the Board of Directors. The SGAE was founded in 1941 as General Society
of Authors of Spain. In 1995 its name changed to Society of Authors and Publishers, seeking to accommodate cultural editors.
The SGAE has been involved in several controversies, like charging a fine of 96€ to a middle school for trying to make a theatrical play whose
rights belonged to Federico García Lorca's heirs. The SGAE denied access to any information or communication to the owners of the rights to the
school. The school administrators by their own account finally found the copyright holders, the Centro Dramático Nacional, (whose responsibles
weren't informed of the situation at all by their SGAE representatives) and they gladly agreed to the school petition without any charge. However, the
SGAE replied that they only acted like intermediaries and had no authority to stop demanding the payment for the copyright of registered works, unless
the author or the owners requested so.
Finally, Lorca’s nephew, Manuel Fernández Montesinos, contacted the Ramón Menéndez Pidal middle school to inform that they could play "Bodas de
sangre" without any charges. A few days later, Montesinos wrote again to the School Principal refusing to lose the copyright's tax since the play was
to be represented in a professional theatre and not at the school.
The SGAE has also claimed copyright for works of authors deceased more than 70 years ago at the time of the claim, a condition that, under European
law, deems the works to be of public domain. According to the councils of Zalamea de la Serena (Badajoz) and Fuente Obejuna (Córdoba),the company
claimed 24,000 and 30,000 euros respectively to represent the classic Spanish dramas "El alcalde de Zalamea" and "Fuenteovejuna", whose authors died
centuries ago. The problem arises from the fact that many of the represented classic plays are adaptations to current Spanish from original work’s
ancient language, so in these cases a collection of fees is required from the adapter. In both cases the SGAE rejected the accusations and stated
that, in the case of Zalamea de la Serena, the requested quantity was 95 euros.
A common description of SGAE by independent songwriters in Spain is that the organization is made up of pirates who prefer to keep and spend royalty
money owed to the writers.
 Embezzlement investigation
In 1 July 2011 eight members of the SGAE, including the president, Teddy Bautista, were arrested and charged with embezzlement. The Investigation
Committee estimated that as much as 87 million Euros were embezzled directly or indirectly from 1997 to 2011.
they want to charge me almost 300 Euros a year for having a TV on in my cafe. I shut it off and told them to go to hell.
they don't give even 1% of what they collect to any authors or editors. I don't think they give anything at all actually.
Former president of SGAE, Teddy Bautista, who is in jail for the embezzlement of millions of Euros. He is Marxist in case you were wondering, the
board of directors at SGAE liked his cut. He wants for the government to give money to artists and for them not to collect directly from their work.
Nice model for society don't you think?
"Mire, yo, como decía Vázquez Montalbán, soy un marxista en fase de descompresión anarquista. Preferiría ir hacia un modelo de autorregulación.
Pero hasta que no llegue ese momento o el Estado no subvencione a los artistas como a los del sector del lino, toca defenderse"
"Look, I, as said by Vázquez Montalbán, I am a Marxist in an anarchist decompression phase. I would rather things progress into a model of
self-regulation. But until that time comes or the state begins to subsidize artists as those in the flax industry, we must defend"
So this is the type of person who is spearheading the intellectual property rights movement. Your so called "equal and fair" socialist, and extremist
communist idealists only want to get in leadership so as to not work and live off your work. Their "defense" of the common man is the exploitation of
Keep promoting socialist ideals and communist rhetoric of the common man. I am a common man these criminals want to hit up for 300 Euros of protection
Late last week, we wrote about the corruption-driven raids on the Spanish music collection society SGAE, and the arrest of its boss, Teddy
Bautista. Over the weekend, more details have come out. Jose Luis Campanello points us to the news that officials believe that SGAE execs may have
diverted approximately $550 million (US) to their own (or others) profits, at the expense of the actual musicians who should have received that money
(Google translation of the original Spanish).
and that is just one example. Spanish society is riddled with this crap.....
