So I just stood my ground against a mob of communist morons trying to forcibly close my business down today.

There is a general protest here almost every day at city hall and the provincial congress building on my street.

Today it was a marching protest to everyone defying a general strike to the Hospitality industry that went all over the center of my city here in northern Spain, led by the workers unions. They called for a general strike for the hospitality industry, not the workers whom are generally happy. These union mobs/thugs go from bar to bar, cafe to cafe, hotels, everything and try to get inside and run your customers off. They scream at you, blow those obnoxious compressed gas horns, put those really hard to get off stickers about the size of a sheet of paper everywhere, and vandalize your stuff.

SO, I saw them starting at the beginning of the street trying to forcibly close the rest of the bars and such. I own my own little cafe I finally opened last year after a couple years over a decade working as a slave, err, I mean waiter.

Seeing as how I had the place pretty much full with nice customers, I decided to go outside for a smoke and stand at the door. And then came the MOB...

I was immediately surrounded by screaming morons, ALL of which I seriously doubt ever worked as waiters in their lives, much less a single day of honest work in many years. They were the union people.

If you don’t know, there is no single more corrupt entity in all of existence than the Spanish workers unions besides maybe Wall Street brokers.

They all get free meal tickets for the FINEST restaurants and resorts. Paid vacations and time off which they are awarded 25000 Euros for a single trip to a conference or meeting REALLY far away near a beach, ECT. When they are not the "liberated" (actual title) union people who don’t have to actually work anymore but get paid in full by companies FORCED to employ them, the others are given hours off a week, sometimes as much as half their shift time, to do union things, like get drunk at the bar, or go home for a nap.

They get bribes and other such crapola and have hired muscle to which they employ in times of shows of force.
They are usually ex cons and lazy scum bags that can’t get work elsewhere.

I could go on and on, THAT much material.

BUT, anyways, they get to my little cafe and this smelly man beast of a woman tries to force her way inside to scare my customers off. I am at the door so I don’t let her past. Then the herd of useful idiots came at me. The ring leaders began asking me why they couldn’t come in, I said that we were closed and that the people inside were my friends. Then they said something which made my NY blood boil. "oh you seem like a wise ass, we will be back son”. At this point I almost went berserk on them, and had they not been escorted by a police unit in a van behind them watching the exchange, (for the protection of the businesses) I would have decked the communist scum bag.

SO I stood there and retorted back like I had fire under my ass and shut them down on every dumb thing they said. I am probably going to be on the news though nothing I said is going to be heard. We had to scream over the yelling and horns just to hear each other, and we were standing brow to brow.

But I made them STFU, and move on. They wanted to intimidate me and being that I have seen everything short of combat, I smiled and showed them I was willing to face off against every last one of them. Physically or otherwise. I kept thinking to myself, there is no way they delivered meat in Harlem at night as a little white teenager….(which my crazy SOB father made me do, love you dad) and it made them seem like pansies. I am not a big guy either. I am about 5,5, with a normal build. Athletic but not buff. SO I guess they really focused on me because they thought I was going to be easy pickings.
Anyways.

My customers were thrilled they didn’t have to be harassed by a zombie mob of retards and I was thrilled the till did not suffer.

Moral of the story, BALLS are worth their weight in gold......and more than pallets of propaganda leaflets and idiots to hand them out.....

Hold it down!

That may work for now, but the savages are getting more and more numerous. They dont believe in property/borders/discrimination so they`ll stop at nothing and nowhere on their carnage of destruction.

I'm in spain too mate and i think the union is a good thing they are protesting as they rightly should spain is going to the dogs since it joined the euro, every cent spent on this countrys infrstructure has been borrowed on a ever increasing interest rate, your little buisness is your buisness and im sure you tuck your money away here there and everywhere away from the taxmans eyes like every other small buisness man in spain but while your making your little fortune the unions are kicking mercadona's doors in and stealing food to feed the jobless and homeless you look after yourself dragging your ass up from waiter status aint easy to do i know my buisness failed in 2009 after 15 prosperous years and i havn't worked since but dont diss respect the unions yes some of the leaders are corrupt but the people in the union are the ones that matter

Sounds like these people are complete tools with a bad case of mob-mentality & narc tendencies. I agree with you that standing up is a powerful thing, and I applaud you there. I'm sure your customers were impressed/proud of you for keeping them out. However, that's not the case in every situation. If the group were a crazed violent gang, and you stood up like that, well the outcome probably wouldn't be the same.

more directly to the op what options do you have in Spain to keep your business from being shut down by the protestors? do you have to call for police protection or do anything through civil courts or is it just anarchy for the moment?

There was nothing in the constitution that allowed the Spanish to pay bankers debts or any other debts not owned by the Spanish people.

So they changed the constitution to allow the bankers to be bailed out and the Spanish people left to pick up the tab.

Its hard getting real facts on this and if your Spanish maybe you can she some light on the facts.

Sounds more like a policing problem actually.
Which union and why do the police allow this??
You might ask that question first to find the true answer to this problem.
When I was working (in a union) the US had prosperity.
Now unions are being attacked and the US is failing as well.
I do like the way you use the word "communists" like it is a bad thing.
Communism makes a horrible ruling class but an excellent setup for the average underdog worker.
So, if being pro union makes me a communist, I reply DA comerade!
