So... a few weeks ago, some friends are hanging out and one of them brought their dog along. I am always snapping pics so, why not one of the dog?
I take three shots because my flash did not fire the first two times. the first shot is of course very dark, the third where the flash obviously fired looks like a very bright dog, but it is the second picture that caught my eye. No. This is not Photoshopped.
Yes. More than likely it is a camera anomaly, But... I like to think I somehow capture the aura of an awesome creature.
Enjoy.

Click the link to see the three pics.

Wow, I'll pass you 10 points because it is not the standard lens flare people claim to be auras!

Close though.

I would like to think so too. The dog's collar does seem to be a similar colour to the aura but after recently loosing my beloved pooch, I like to think dogs do have auras.

Here are the three resized pics for everyone better view:

Could it be possible to have access to the original non-cropped, non-resized etc... photos?
I'm not saying that these are faked, but I would like to see the technical data (Flash fired, ISO, aperture, resolution, etc...)

In the meantime, here are the two darker photos with auto-levels applied:

You'll note the odd greenish/purplish hue in the second photo and the circular shapes in the first one.

I really should take the time to read things more carefully, I thought you were posting pictures of a top secret supersonic jet!!

Great photo, can't actually see anything offhand to cause a reflection or flare like this.

Dog aura, why not.If people can have an aura the dog's definitely should be able to

I would believe this is a picture of an aura more than I would believe those people who charge a fortune for a picture. I'm not an expert so I'll wait to see what those who know what they're talking about have to say. It's a great picture whatever it turns out to be.

Auras are typically seen (and photographed around the subject). Now if those colors were seen surrounding the animal I would say yes it was an aura captured. Since you can't see the animal and only the colors on the one photo I think it was either the film or something else. I am no photographer so hard to say. Personally, when I seen any aura it is around the plant, object, person.

Is your camera the type which has red LEDS that briefly shine to help the autofocus?
If so, it may be possible that somehow the camera took a shot of this.

No.

Either you caught someone posting a hoax or you are the one posting the hoax.

Peace

The third picture I could maybe see it having something to do with the flash hitting the collar a certain way. But not the second.
The second photo is actually really cool, I've never seen that effect.
I'm going to go with aura.

Looks like an aura to me. We all have them, all living things do. Even plants!
I'm sure that there are times when something happens and a camera can pick up these auras, just like sometimes things can just simply disappear, etc.

The world is mysterious, this definitely is an interesting photo though.
Nice one.

Aura or not, I would definitely enlarge and hang it on the wall. I think it's gorgeous and has a really cool, ethereal feel to it.
