You guys kill me.. good grief, a transformer blows in a winter storm and its armageddon... LMAO!!
Maybe not the end of the world, but it may be financial armageddon for our insurance company. Here in Il.. super high winds, shingles everywhere,
broke my flag pole, shattered my picnic table, tore off some garage siding, crinkled the garage door open, and etc, etc.... on our historic home (
which is notoriously expensive to repair).
Our home is 2.5 stories and double brick.. still sounded like a helecopter landing on my porch
when I was in the kitchen with the wind whipping around the corner of the house. I mean WICKED wind. Still blowing as well.. cant wait to see what
else has been destroyed tomorrow morning. Ugh.... We did get lucky though, we kept power and didnt have the fires, train derailments, and trees
crashing the house as in other areas near us. There was a schoolbus rolled just cross the river.
Funny part was when I let my little hairless dog out this evening. The big dog just jumped off the porch.. the 8 lb naked one got caught by the wind
and it rolled him. His little sweater did NOTHING to protect him from 67 mph winds. LOL!!
Theyre estimating several 10's of thousands without power in our bistate area.. wind, ice, etc. Its not armageddon folks, its called Draco.. the
newest winter storm blowing through. It IS December after all...
